wheres a good website i could buy a refurbished sim free s6 from? im just contemplating whether to get this or the s5, if i can find the s6 cheap enough i will get this.

I realise this will have been covered several times but I'd like to know how the battery life is now, after things have settled down with the phone. What are people's screen on times looking like? I'm torn between an s6 and a Note 4, but a potential 1 or 2 hour difference in screen on time is important to me.

Yeah this is a real bummer for me as the S6 is otherwise (in my opinion) the first near-perfect package on android to beat iphones both on specs AND appearance. Why couldn't Samsung have just nailed it with a 3000mAh battery and a very slightly fatter body?

The battery life for a 2600mAh is great, I get 4hrs SoT daily, with over 12 hours standby. I can't easily go 2 days with medium/low usage.

For example yesterday (medium usage day), phone fully charged at 8am, I went to bed around 11pm and my phone was showing 48%. That was with just under 2 hrs SoT, 1:30mins of streaming Spotify.

But the Note 4 will better this easy.
 
How is the battery dribble on it? If i left my Note 2 in a quiet room for two days untouched it would probably dump 50pc of its battery life doing nothing.
 
So for everyone who bought the device of am.de did you bother flashing the UK BTU rom or just stick with the rom which is on it?

Got 2 coming next week and have the UK BTU rom downloaded but not sure if to bother or not.

Unless there is bloat installed I wouldn't bother, even the latest BTU firmware dated this month doesn't seem to add anything.

Maybe when 5.1.1 arrives.

Pink tint up the left hand side of the phone worse in the middle

Thinking of just returning the phone and getting something else - What is close to the S6 spec wise

I think mine has a bit of a pink tint, but I can hardly notice it even when I run a pixel test app. But these are characteristics of an AMOLED screen, slightly uneven colour temperatures. But you wouldn't notice any of the colour shifts in normal use.


Its only an issue if you go looking for it.

It's barely noticeable on your replacement, where are you getting these from anyway?

As for a replacement, there is nothing that matches the Galaxy S6 in all areas, so without knowing your preferences it's impossible to recommend anything.

I didn't bother. It had a few german apps installed that I just disabled.

Been well happy with it - haven't even replaced touchwiz - I KNOW! :D
 
Minor issues don't really bother me but having a really distracting tint on the screen is just not good enough - Especially a phone of this value - I did previously swap my S4 out once but that was a perfect replacement

On XDA their is like a 78 page thread of people noticing the exact same things on their displays - I'm not being awkward - I just want an even display really

Just gonna cancel and return the S6 though and get something on PAYG.

Will see what to get

Wow, what are you doing to get such a crock set of phones. You sure you don't have some kind of magnetic field outside your front door.
