*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

After the debacle I had with the two edges I ordered having duff screens and having to send them both back for a refund.. I caved and ordered a galaxy s6 flat in topaz blue. Hopefully ill have a better experience this time round. Getting it for £399 delivered.

Where are you getting it for that money?

I've bought from handtec before. And I've had nothing short of excellent service :D

I'm going to email them to ask to change it to the 64gb. May as well!

I'll post up some impressions of the colour when I receive hopefully before Wednesday. :D

Battery life is a joke..

Using the sat nav for 2 hours and 20 minutes plus making the phone do 8 hours of background tasks will make the battery page look like that.

I honestly cant think of any other way to get such low usage stats.

I watched a 2 hour movie on my phone the other day (using headphones) and the battery only dropped to 81% in that time.

In the interests of parity in this conversation about battery life I'm finding mines an absolute joy and ease to get through the day on my S6 Edge.

Today I've had pretty heavy on screen time usage so I can't complain and this included around 1hr of listening to a podcast during a drive today also.

If you want some more battery life, download Weyo theme from Samsung store, to get the most out of the pixels. It shouldn't be to long till we have xposed either.

You make good points. I'll have to do some testing on mine and see what difference having wifi enabled actually makes to my battery in standby. Then I'll do a location on only test in standby too. Then same for bluetooth.
I don't mind, testing is fun :D

I tested wi-fi so far. Lost 1% after 21 minutes with wi-fi in standby mode and not using the phone at all during the test. Lost 1% with no wi-fi on after about 45 minutes or very close to 45 minutes, and not using the phone at all during the test. So wi-fi enabled effectively reduces standby by half. I've yet to test with GPS on and bluetooth on.
