Possibly worth trying to update the firmware? You can do this manually using an application called Odin. You don't need root or anything like that.
 
I had the BTU 5.1.1 update this evening. Phone seems a little buggier and benchmarks a little lower since the upgrade, so I've just backed up the photos and I'm going to reset the phone a little later this morning once my phone has more charge, and see how it goes from there :)

You could try wiping the cache partition.

Mine did, sorted itself out though. Must have been rebuilding the cache or something.

Ah just noticed your ed yup that amp factor probably makes a difference, I'm happy with the speed my Qi-infinity charges the s6 and its ergonomic pocketability and as I have cases or props the s6 slippiness isn't much of an issue for me.

Just got the Qi-infinity charger. It's a nice piece of kit, but I'm slightly disappointed in one aspect - you can't charge two phones at the same time (one wired, one wireless) whilst the device itself is plugged in. My plan was to get rid of more wires at my bedside and have both my wife and my phones charging from this at the same time.

You can charge two phones at one time when the charger is not plugged in though. Might be an issue with heat.
 
I'd already reset it by the time I saw the above about cache, but never mind, it can't do it any harm and will clear out any one time use apps I chose not to reinstall from the old lot.

Will give it 24 hours and see how it goes :) It's been on for about the last 6 hours or so, since the reset. Wish I'd remembered to leave videos transferring before dozing off though.

Only downside, I wish Samsung had left USB3...it's frustrating only being able to transfer videos back on slowly!

Yeah, I hear ya, tempted to root as well just to increase battery life. I'm already on 5.1.1 mind, so I'll have to wait for a safe method which doesn't trip knox.

Infact, im pretty much left with no choice.

I'll use Pingpong root tonight and have a fiddle around and see if i can work something out because once again im sat in work charging my phone. 3hrs SOT is the most i'm going to get.
 
anyone bought and used an Otterbox Commuter case on the S6 yet? I'm desperate for a case and quite like the look of it but can't decide.
I don't want to add loads of bulk to the phone but obviously i want it to be relatively safe also.
