*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Timely is absolutely brilliant.

stock google clock

Cheers, looking at Timely now & didn't know that wasn't the stock clock haha, looking at it now too.

Is there any way to hide the samsung clock now?

Also, I am finding that samsung voice is trying to override google now voice interaction at times too, did anyone else get this and is there a way to kill Samsungs text to speech?

What do you mean "Hide the samsung clock"? On the homescreen? It can be removed just like any other widget.
Timely has a nice clock widget which displays the next time the alarm will go off. Also when you click on it, it will bring you into the Timely app

I believe the Timely app and developers were actually bought by google.

anyone bought and used an Otterbox Commuter case on the S6 yet? I'm desperate for a case and quite like the look of it but can't decide.
I don't want to add loads of bulk to the phone but obviously i want it to be relatively safe also.

It's one of the better (and popular) brands for protection and has flaps to cover over ports. But I think it will add a bit more bulk compared to say a Spigen Neo Hybrid which gives decent enough protection but is super slim (and prettier).

Infact, im pretty much left with no choice.

I'll use Pingpong root tonight and have a fiddle around and see if i can work something out because once again im sat in work charging my phone. 3hrs SOT is the most i'm going to get.

I didn't think PingPing root worked on 5.1.1?

I'm tempted to just root and trip knox to be honest, I feel samsung pay is going to be like the wireless charging on the S3, they raved about it and it never came out..

Will give it 24 hours and see how it goes :) It's been on for about the last 6 hours or so, since the reset. Wish I'd remembered to leave videos transferring before dozing off though.

Only downside, I wish Samsung had left USB3...it's frustrating only being able to transfer videos back on slowly!

Seems to be performing much better now, antutu scores back to over 66k.

Might just be me but Touchwiz feels a bit faster now so may not go back to Nova. Using the material theme though.

That's pretty good considering you had the screen on for the same amount of time in both instances (in fact, slightly more in the second instance).

I might have to look into that app you downloaded. Have you had to re-enable any packages that you initially disabled?

I had to re enable smart manager to open my battery stats as I found that wasn't working (there's a handy tool on thst app that disabled all bloat or what it considers bloat to be) but as I mentioned that was disabled and needed re enabling. Also Text to speech needed re enabling for something possibly greenify apart from that it's been great. I'm at 19% now and hammered it again.. Most definitely an improvement though.

Well worthy of a quid, and no held awake which is very interesting.

Just downloaded the paid version. Thanks for the feedback.

My battery is getting worse. I'm now getting close to the crap levels that my HTC one was at before I got rid of it. I'm not a heavy user either. Mostly just whatsapp
