*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Just to save me skimping through 150 pages can anyone recommend me a wireless charger and briefly mention any pros/cons? thanks.

Also, would i be able to use the same one on a Sony z3 tablet? In all honesty wirelessly charging the z3 is more important than the s6 to me so as to not wear out the flaps, ahem.

Hey guys,

Just picked up the S6 in white. Coming from using the Note 4.

Anybody had any experience with switching from Note 4 to S6? Is it worth it? I see a lot of people complaining about battery life which is something I never have an issue of with the Note 4.

Cheers!

S6 battery life will be your main concern mate although it does come with a rapid charger so compensate

give it a try and maybe try return if your not happy with it, keep hold of your Note 4 just incase :)

You're coming from a phone with above average battery life, so set your expectations really, really low for the battery life on the S6!

What's your budget?

I switched from a Note 4 and the biggest thing I liked was the lag going, loved the note but it was extremely laggy at times.

Battery doesn't bother me as I charge every phone at nights regardless, just put it on the wireless charger and no issues.

Can somebody help me find the per app menu to auto close apps after 10 minutes?

Looked a few times and just cant seem to find it. :o

EDIT: Nevermind, found it under battery/battery power optimization.

I came from a Note 4, mainly because of the size of the note 4, it was just a bit too big.

Never had a problem with lag on the note 4 either.

I think for me the battery is better on 5.1.1 .

Hey guys, specs say 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 720p@120fps. 60fps definitely works and is much smoother than 30fps, but I tried the 120fps and to my eyes it's no different to 30fps. Anyone tried it?

Chotech Stadium, it has three coils so isn't fussy re placement, matte and flat so hardly any slipping, with anything other than an s6 probably no slipping, good user reviews solid build, light isn't too bright and it doesn't make a sound perceptible to my ears.

Did you find this makes a difference?

Yeah, it's useful for problem apps that stay open in the background and drain your battery, very annoying to check your phone after an few hours and find something still running and 30% of your battery is gone.

Android doesn't manage them that well.

Unfortunate that we can't use this on Google Play Services. :(

So those of you that have gone from the note 4. Do you regret it? I love the look of the s6 and the size is nice although I do think I'll miss the screen size of the note 4.

Its a hard decision for sure!

I personally don't regret it all depends if you can live without removable battery and micro sd.

I caved, got a blue 64GB S6 coming from Amazon Italy :p

Just a heads up, Amazon Italy are currently offering an automatic 50 Euro discount and there is also a 2% discount due to the higher VAT rate in Italy, so the white 64GB can be had for approx £500! Discount also applies to the Edge as well :)

I did order the white but a technical problem ordered me a blue instead, but as the offer finishes on the 12th, I decided to stick with it
