*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

The new update doesn't seem to have affected the battery idle drain overnight - still about 13% (in 7.5 hours) on wifi while the phone has the screen off and is doing nothing.

Involves a wipe and I cba with doing that again. I've done it loads trying to fix battery issues and getting my screen fixed.

I just flashed mine using odin and didnt need to wipe? Second time I have done it now. Downloaded the firmware from Sammobile.

New update does feel snappier, don't seem to have the lag when scrolling through pages etc. Will see what the battery life is like during today.

How do I do that?

Turn off phone.
Press volume up, home button and power button simultaneously. This will bring you into a menu which will give you the option to wipe the cache partition.

Note that this will not wipe any data or apps or anything like that.

Wish EE would hurry up and get the update sorted!

I'm not really up to speed on the update, what benefits will it offer? I also am wondering when I'll get the EE update, but tbh, I have zero complaints with 5.0 2. The phone performs flawlessly for me and the battery life is great. If anything, I'm worried an update might make things worse.
