*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

So torn. It's either The S6 or the S7. I don't care about waterproofing so it's just the battery really. Was the S6 battery as bad as some made out? With MM around the corner for the S6 I'd rather not pay £300 more for a slightly better battery, but don't want to be running out of juice at 4pm either.
 
The battery is quite bad, yes. For me as a moderate user it will last the full day only about 50 percent of the time. I don't even play games or watch vids or anything particularly intensive.
Apart from that, it's an awesome phone.

I used to be able to go the whole day even with some gaming and get 3-4 hours SoT, now I'm barely getting 2 hours SoT, not sure if the battery is getting worse or my usage has changed, probably a bit of both.

Marshmallow doesn't seem to have helped, however the powersaving mode is a lot more responsive than it was before, not much point using full performance for general use.

Must remember to enable it. :)

Last night I took my s6 off charge at 100% at 11.15pm this morning at 7am my phone was at 98% to give an idea of its not in use battery drain.

The phone is over 40 weeks old and I willy nilly charge up to 90+% at various times throughout the day, pretty much the worst type of behaviour re looking after the battery and I consistently get 4+ hours of screen on browsing or youtube.

Interesting thanks. Have you updated to Marshmallow and did it make much difference?

This is my experience. Don't forget the s7 feels better in the hand and has a better camera. I'll be upgrading to the larger edge this time.
 
I put the Poland 6.1 on my Edge Plus today,its very very good,its doubled my reception strength ,and increased my wifi coverage greatly,all the edge enchancements that the S7edge gets,very smooth and snappy ,much better ram management.
A big thumbs up to Samsung
