**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

How many of you S7 edge owners used to say that a 4" or 4.5" or 5" screen would be the largest screen you ever want on a mobile phone and anything larger would be to big.....:D

I admit I had the original Note and felt it was too large for me, but then new designs of similar screen size are smaller phones...

Any of you guys who have the S7 Edge had or have the Note 5?

How does it compare?

Earphone quality, one of the main things?

Did you ask this on my video? (Or maybe two people asking about earphone quality) I'm probably not a good person to comment as I'm far from an audiophile. I also don't use wired headphones....

I might make a S7 Edge v Note 5 video talking about why I'll keep the Note 5.

Very! It's a very fragile device, I dropped it while getting put of my car, fell out of my pocket so 3ft max.. !

Prime example of why people should use cases. I just don't understand why people don't protect a 600 quid device, and there is no logic to it.

Cases are generally rather ugly, increase the size of the device means they won't fit in some holders/mounts. I prefer to just not drop my phone.

I think I've dropped 2 in my time. Both combined have cost me around £250-£300 to fix. All the phones I've used, if I bought cases, would probably cost me in the region of £200. I'm okay with that for the benefits of going naked.

That seems logical to me.

Am always dropping my phones... :(
And the amount of people I see & know with broken & cracked screens looks like a lot of other people also drop there phones a lot..

This is the case I put my phone everyday for last the few years when taking my phone to work...(My S7 edge just about fits in it)

Having never owned a smartphone but observing the way other people walk around with their eyes glued to the things without looking where they're going, it's no wonder they get dropped. :p

I'm still a little bit unsure about my S7 Edge's battery. I ran Waze at ~25% brightness and streamed Internet radio over Bluetooth in the car yesterday for 2 hours as a stress test of sorts.

Do these numbers look right?

Like I said before no one can really answer that question due to

Problem is there are so many things that can effect the battery life between different users even with the same phone..

I.E
WiFi on/off
Always on display on/off
Screen time out settings (30sec ,1min,2min etc)
Screen brightness settings (And even if on auto it would be different)
Different Apps running in the background
GPS on/off
Location on/off
Bluetooth on/off
Mobile hotspot on/off
Auto Sync on/off
Auto updates
NFC on/off
ETC ETC ETC

The list just goes on and on and on

LOL you'd prefer not to drop it... that's not how accidents work old chap!

Anyway it's your new and expensive phone I guess, and it's up to you how you treat it. *shrugs* :)

I've got a case on mine at the moment. And haven't dropped it yet. I end up getting bored of the feel of the case though and usually take it out. That's when I'm most likely to drop it :D **** happens though :p

Its a dilemma I always have. How can I put this lovely device in a case, it completely spoils the look and feel, but a case will lower my chances of damaging the £600 beauty!

I usually start out with a case and then stop using it after about a year, and I always love it when I do.

Time to stop using it is when the price drops to the point of where do don't mind paying to replace it...
Or the way I do it after the next model has been released so it would give me a reason to upgrade......;):D
