**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

The Size and in hand feel off the S7E seems perfect though.

Size to screen ratio is great, however I felt holding it was just not as ergonomic as a flat phone and that you were losing a bit of screen real estate due to the curves. It all minor issues though.

Main things were speakers, stock android, like yourself.

The best thing about the edge by far is the night clock. Something so simple but awesome.

I tried this and didn't like it. My bedside table is at eye level, and at eye level you can't really read the numbers from the side, you need to look down on them at least a little as they curve round onto the front a little.

I do like the always on though, I have a more upright Qi charger that the Edge can sit in, with always on clock it's great as a bedside clock like that.

I get what you mean about the edges but I mostly like it for the looks, the flat just looks boring next too the Edge. I don't even think the edge features are useful at all to be honest. I think I will give it a try though you never know.

Personally I just wish we had a smaller 6p, I know many love the size but for me its become cumbersome, it doesn't even fit in some off my chinos and sticks out the edge, I worry at times it may fall out off my pocket.

Battery continues to impress me, especially on WiFi. Took it off charge at 7am, currently at 53% charge with 3hrs 30 SoT and over an hour streaming Spotify. Was on 4g from 7 till 1pm.

Yep, spend a few days with it, that's the only way to know for sure.

I have a Nexus 6P incoming - looking forward to testing it out.

My Edge arrived this evening, first impressions are impressive.. pretty much like what everyone is saying. It looks incredible and has a real premium feel about it like no other Android phone I've ever had. My Z3 looks like a toy next to it. :D

Everything is fluid and lightning fast. I've not owned a Samsung S series phone since the S2, got to say that touchwiz has come a long way since then.

Been hammering the battery tonight with app installs and updates. Looking forward to see how it fairs on a typical day for me tomorrow.

Honestly the best phone I've had, recently went on holiday and damn the camera is very impressive, I left it on auto HDR and it was pleasantly fast, images where nothing short of amazing and blow me away. Everything else about the phone is solid too, some parts the like display are still behind Samsung, but build, design, battery life, performance and software are all excellent I feel. It does get a little annoying that the Nexus phone comes out just before we get some new SoCs.

I also been looking at these cheaper stand up wireless chargers I link below...
(There not fast charge but they should be fine for over night charging)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Ch...530&sr=1-18&keywords=samsung+Wireless+Charger £21.89

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wireless-Ch...8530&sr=1-8&keywords=samsung+Wireless+Charger £16.90

http://www.amazon.co.uk/MoKo-Wirele...557&sr=1-61&keywords=samsung+Wireless+Charger £16.95

I use the first one listed here, it isn't a faster charger but it works fine I just drop the S7 edge on and it starts charging even with a case on.. The case I use is the Samsung clear cover but I will be changing soon just need to decide which slim Spigen to go with.

Jabra headphones are here. Connects nicely and picks up HR easily. Will give them a try tonight.

Don't know if I'd be happy paying rrp

People mentioned wireless chargers above, I have the Choetech T516 Standing one coming in for a quick review. It's the 3 coils standing version so am interested in seeing how it competes vs the Samsung fast charger. It's £21 on Amazon right now so isn't as cheap as the £10 ones, but hopefully this means it's of higher quality than them.

In the end I went with the Spigen SGP11480 wireless charger for my office, looks quite decent. Currently £18.59 on Amazon which appears to be a bit of a bargain (£40 on mobilefun, £24.99 on Spigen's own site). Also 2 amp input, hopefully not too much of a glaring power status LED. Doesn't look too bad from the stock photos.

This should do the trick until the 15W wireless chargers are cheaper and there are stand type options available. I really cannot see the appeal with placing your device flat instead of in a stand type cradle.

After 5 days of using my S7E I love it!

Coming from a Z3c I was a bit worried about the size but it's the perfect size..would not go back to a smaller phone.

Got 6 hours SOT 2 days in a row...amazing..not even my Z3c could do that.
