**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

It depends if micro scratches bother you. With just a case on the back there is still a chance of dust getting in between the case and back can causing scratches. That's why I had a skin on the Z5 and now waiting for a skin for the S7E even though the phone will be kept in a case.

I do plan on keep this phone for a long time but I say that every time I get a new phone and always change within 12 months. When selling those scratches matter.

Couple of days ago dropped mine screen face down and its all cracked.... the Gorilla Glass that is.. actual screen is working fine!

I never really understood what the Gorilla Glass was..always thought was just a marketing ploy to make a screen sound stronger...but damn  now it all makes sense! It's amazing! It let me carry on using my phone fine till I get it sorted :D

Have insurance so will get it repaired/replaced for £50 excess but in some strange way I like how it looks now... cracked up but can't feel the cracks..like bulletproof glass... :p

But they should have made the glass easier to repair! Have you seen the process of replacing the screen? I don't even think you can replace the glass alone, and a screen with glass is selling for over $200 on the bay

I've a hairline crack at the bottom and would love to fix it, but at that price no chance

I did the Beta on the S6 and actually it wasn't bad at all. I had one little oddity with one particular app but otherwise was good. Touchwiz is also much better than it once was.

With the beta on the S6 how long was it between the beta and the final release? I'm not interested in doing the beta but just wondered if it gives an indication of when Nougat will be rolled out.

S7 edge and I'm onto my 4th camera glass. Before I spend another £35 on another one for it to randomly break again is there any solution other than just keep replacing?
