Time to upgrade my HTC One M7 of nearly 3 years.

Is the edge not available to pre-order in silver? Has someone got exclusivity?

I want SIM Free really.

Change for the sake of change is pointless. And S6 user's should be happy the design hasn't changed too much, as it doesn't make their phone look so dated like going from the S5 to S6.

Honestly think its best too just follow the apple model instead of wasting RnD on a brand new design. Compared too the S6 the changes are small but great, SD card, water resistance without any flaps, slightly better too hold, better camera (LG for example has the same main unit), slightly thicker but much bigger battery.

Rather have similar design and better specs across the board then recycling the same camera or other features in the name of a new design. However it can get too much Sony has had the same design for 5 flagship phones, although they do release one ever other month it seems.
 
just sorted an upgrade through ee for unlimited text and mins and 5gb double speed data for £37.49 a month with the s7 edge in black for £29. Not a bad deal I think as I can sell my m8 for about £100ish by the looks of it and thats actually cheaper then I pay at the moment (by a mighty £)
 
Off the phone with O2 who have basically said they aren't allowed to offer anything on the S7, they can't price match...so I guess my decisions made.

Going for the below:

S7 Black £99 up front
Ultd Txt/Min + 6GB Data £31.20p/m (discount of 20% applied) 24 months
£70 Cashback through Quidco
Free Samsung VR Headset (rrp £79).
Total over course of deal: £777.80

Pretty decent deal in all honesty when I factor in the VR headset on top of it. Just need to pay off my device charge which is £350 left with O2 and I'm good to go.

As with all network branded Samsung models, as soon as there's a UK firmware out there unbranded I'll stick that on the phone and get it unlocked.

Are contract prices likely to come down after release? Trying to decide whether to pre-order one now or wait until my upgrade in April (missing out on the Gear VR).
 
My Spigen S7 Edge case has been dispatched!

I won't be using a case though, just want to see what it's like. IT was on the £2.99 deal so no big loss. Might give it away later :p
