**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Not sure I would get one unless it covered the edges properly. Honestly not even putting a case ruins the edge look, I think I will get a skin for the back and wait for a nice tempered glasses protector.
 
im not putting a screen protector on mine either. gorilla glass should be adequate.

one of my two cases i ordered arrived today too. :D spigen thin/exact fit with matte black finish. looks good! building my hype for receiving my handset! :D

edit: ordered the crystal thin/exact fit case in TPU as well. just incase i didnt like the feel of the black case.

Ah, OK.
I know there are some similar cheap jury-rigs along such lines for VR that people had done on Cardboard or the like, but wasn't sure how or what they'd done it with.

Ah well.
Might have been worth the £50 phone, that...
 
No option to use external sdcard as internal, I'll wait for the OnePlus 3.

At least I know they will offer 64GB internal, don't understand why Samsung have to spoil what looks like a great phone by only giving us 32GB internal.
 
Well guys, I tried the S7 and the S7 Edge in CPW today and here are my thoughts:

1) The S7 Edge is really not as big as I imagined. It is basically the same width as my S5, thinner, and a bit (visually it seems 0.5cm or so without looking at the specs) longer, certainly not enough to fret about, and NOT what I would call phablet sized... and I am sensitive to that kind of thing. The Edge screen is beautiful and just seems so right for that resolution.

2) The regular S7 was slim and trim and feels like a lovely designed and solid phone however it seems somehow inferior to the Edge.

3) The camera... holy crap is it amazing! Lightning fast focus and the detail and cleanliness of the image is phenomenal by phone standards. I was impressed. Very impressed. I would say it is as good as a decent basic point and shoot.

I am now strongly considering cancelling my previous order for the S7 and changing it to the Edge. :)
 
Think I might get one of these too, the 6P would still be my preference for the FF speakers, build/design + stock android but unfortunately it is just too big :( I can't be bothered waiting until October/November for the next nexus(s) only to probably have the main device be too big or/and the less impressive smaller version again....

If I do get one, I'll probably stick with the normal S7, edge looks epic but imo it is a gimmick and not worth the extra cost + too big for my liking.
