**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

I'm joining the Club S7 too and have gone for the Spigen Hybrid case which looks pretty cool, I was tempted by an Edge but I think it'll just be too big for me. I'm currently using an S4 mini so I hope the jump up will be big.
I'm with O2 Business so not the best of tariffs but I have a couple of other ones with them which are ok plus I get the free Jabra Pulse headset which is worth £149, yeah of course it is.
Don't Stop Movin

S club 7 you mean? :p

Oh don't get me wrong if, if the Edge was the same size again as the S7 then I would possibly be tempted by it...but yeah the novelty did wear off.

Thanks, to be honest I'm not sure I want the larger size anyway, so that should make the decision easier. Gonna try to get to a shop to take a look properly though

Contracts. Sim free purchases don't get cashback on TCB or Quidco through CPW which is a bit regtarded, hence why I went with Samsung too because you get £32 cashback on the Edge.

Where do you get £32 cashback on the Edge? Quidco and TCB both are 1% on the S7 and S7 Edge via samsung.

So what's the verdict, will anyone support this feature ? I can't decide if spending this much money and not being able to have this

Personally I'm fine with it as 32GB is plenty for me, especially with seperate storage space for media. However I do think it's a shame they haven't included it, with the appropriate warnings. I can see their reasoning though, remembering that a lot of users can be a bit silly I think they're saving themselves a potential headache.

Will not buy due to this.

Shame, it's not that hard to give the user a warning that the sd card will not be useable anywhere else when enabling the option surely?

Could someone just please clarify how this exactly works?

I understand that it can set SD card as primary storage, but surely that doesn't stop any Apps being moved to the SD card like now.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here :)

Not a reason not to buy. It's not a show stopper and I don't see what the problem is. You won't fill up 32GB with apps (unless mad gamer) and you can have up 200GB of pics, video, film and data on the card. The vast majority of users, me included will be very happy with that.

I presume Samsung have done this as it may cause 'ordinary' folk problems if they go removing the SD card and then start crying saying they've lost all their data etc.

It really should be available as an option to turn on, not disabled completely.

You might find it gets added after release, if enough feedback makes it way to Samsung.

Exactly, and then the press pick up on it, and suddenly "new Samsung wipes users SD cards loosing treasured data" etc...

It is for some.

It dictates what we can or cant do.

give the user a choice. it doesnt harm you if there was a choice but harms potential users who want and need extra storage.

32gb is not enough nowadays for apps and app data.

If you use spotify for example, it still only saves offline music on your main storage.

Games now are over 1gb now too and touchwiz takes up to 7gb already
