There is a choice with the S7 though. You can buy an SD card to add capacity in what ever size you want. Thats a much better option IMO.

Not really, I'd take a 64GB or 128Gb internal over 32GB with sdcard slot every time.
Image, music, video and documents can stored online and streamed, unless you live in the middle of nowhere with no internet you don't need to carry much with you.
Over the years I've used sdcards and found I only really need them for extended app storage, resorting to rooting and using apps to install ogg data to the sdcard is a huge annoyance I hope never to repeat.

Finally had a look at both in shop today...
S7 black looks OK but doesnt stand out that much... Gold Edge stands out more but SO big!
Coming from a Z3c I wanted a bigger screen but think Edge is just too big, S7 is perfect size but doesnt have the same WOW factor as the Edge...what to do...hm....

I was in the same boat as you, but had pre-ordered the S7 edge in gold, but after trying out both I ended up switching to the regular S7 gold instead as that was just so much easier to use with one hand and much more compact. Both are awesome phones so pretty sure yu cannot go wrong with either one
With this screen size inflation on the Galaxy S range I wonder if it means the Edge + will have a 7" screen and the Note 6 a full 24" display

Gutted.....am out of the S7 Edge club.
Mentioned it to the Top Level Budget Holder and was instantly Command Veto. Even explaining the fact I could flog my Note 4 and VR for more than the £200 it would cost to pay off remaining device plan with O2, it was slapped down.
Just cancelled order with Voda now ....
But all is not lost, will be gettign one of these in Oct when I can move and also feel I will be moving provider too. Using the work discount it comes in a same as paying now but with 8 GB more data per month. PLus the O2 signal has gone really pants indoors on my Note 4 since they went to 4G. I live 100m away from the O2 mast. Mrs S has booming signal on her Z3, my Note 4 struggles to do anything. Could have tried that as an excuse with her to do early move, but decided it was not worth the hassle....

they won't provide the free VR gear though ? or will they ?
Has anyone ordered sim free from CPW got confirmation of the free Gear VR?
I can only get it to appear in the basket by adding a contract phone, if I add sim free it doesn't show. The chat advisor said it will be added automatically, but I'm a little dubious.
