**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Just seen the 2 colour choices in store and for a minute I thought they had a silver version but turned out it was the gold. Now with no silver titanium not being sold in the uk yet, was it just the lighting that caused it to look so nice? Got a black on order but if there was a silver version would def go for that. The gold didn't actually look that bad but worried in non halogen super bright light it will actually be more yellow and bling.

Strangely I looked at a gold one in a shop yesterday and really didn't like the colour, then looked at it in another shop today and thought it was nice. Seemed more silver today, I guess maybe down to lighting.

Shame they're not doing silver, probably play it safe with black.

I just looked at the Edge in O2 Shop and thought the same. The Gold looked quite silver, thought it was nice.

That's because it's Platinum Gold, not just Gold. So it's silvery and gold together, giving a two tone effect depending on how the light reflects off it.

I haven't seen the S7 in person yet, going to Brent Cross in a bit to have a play around with one.

But assuming it's the same Platinum Gold, check these pics of mine, see how the colour changes

Unlimited Mins/Text, 6GB Data with Vodafone at £45 with £99 handset cost and not having to pay the £100+ for an early upgrade. Also get the free VR headset.

Is that a good deal?

Price added, I dont think it will be a delayed mess like the S6?

What's the fingerprint reader for and can you use Samsung Pay on Oyster card readers?

You use it to unlock the device, I'm not sure if it's the same as the iPhone but you can link it with your Amazon account for quick purchases, and also use it to buy inside the App Store.

Managed to get into a shop to have a play with both the S7 and Edge.

All I can say is the Edge feels a lot more special than the normal S7. Feels very thin and although I had planned to get the black but in person the Gold looks more expensive.

The black just seemed to not be nice and reflective like I had expected as it shows the finger prints really easily.
