**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

Can anyone recommend a glass screen protector? Preferably one that has full glue, curved edges, and doesn't collect dust and look minging.
I've fitted a noname one with good reviews from Amazon, but its only got glue round the edges, and sometimes the lightest of touches doesnt register. And it seems to be collecting dust around its edge, looks a bit poo :(
The glass protector on my old flat screen phone was much better and cleaner.

Cheers

The missus dropped her S7 last night , screen isn't cracked with no physical damage but when powered on , the top half is green and bottom half is black, I can still see some image on the screen but can't use it.

New screen needed I presume?

Sounds like it yeah, but will end up being the whole front assembly as it's all one unit from what I recall.

Read a tip on reddit earlier on quickly accessing Samsung Pay when the screen is off. Turn the setting on first, then just swipe up from the bottom edge to load up payment cards.

Convenient.

Any suggestions for a calender app? Looking to sync with outlook (but may change email app too) work calender and to add personal "notes" and times too.
Had business calender on my HTC and never fully agreed with it. Sure I had to do a complicate sync process where I had to sync my work email to googlemail then sync that to the app.

Business calendar will sync if you have an exchange account set up. I use Samsung email for my work emails and business cal just works, no messy importing required :)

Yeah anywhere I brought it to said 200 quid. Nightmare :( only paid a small bit more than that for the phone. It's 40 quid then for my iPhone 8 plus.

Hi All

The genuine Samsung case I ordered has started to loose the matt finish in the edges after only a couple of weeks :(

I got this one, are there any other ultra thin cases people can recommend please!

Thanks

I found it to be working very well with no issues. I don't really know if battery life is any better really but will say it isn't any worse at all. I was about to start using Android Pay when I joined the beta program. I've not got round to trying it again but presume AP now works. My banking apps, business and private have had no issues. When final is released I think I may do a full wipe. Do you wipe first then load the final version of Oreo or load the final release and then wipe or does it not matter?

No need to do a full wipe. I did a full wipe recently due to a SystemUI error from an app that corrupted it, and there's no difference in performance or battery.

Android Pay won't work until the final OTA is installed, as the betas are not Safety Net verified (expected).
