**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

I don't really have any issues with the S7 edge? The Note 7 is supposed to be even more subtle so better for it.

As for bezel free, like how it's envisioned in season 3 of Black Mirror I guess:

That looks like it's using a bumper case, so I imagine there is a minimal bezel, to the extent of being called "full screen" at least anyway.

It's not like the phone itself is going to be so thin you can't pick it up. There is probably gonna be 7-8mm of thickness at least.

people really wont remember the note batteries heating up because of the election..

i mean maybe a few will but...
no one i know even thought about buying a new phone recently...

im still trying to decide which is better.. iphone or android

I heard the S8 will have hats. 2 hats...and a bezel free monocle.

I bet you can't say 2 hats fast 10 times.

They could go bezel-less, speakers / mic can be along the edge, while as said, screen can go transparent over the camera, that said, the thickness of the display might hinder the clarity?

finger print readers etc can easily go on the back :p

I hope they do like the note though and have the curve symmetrical on both back and front.

S7 Edge is the best phone I have ever had. However, more performance, better battery, better camera is always welcome. :D

As above
I never find it slow but then I don't game.
The battery is good and fast charging helps there.
Camera is absolutely stunning for a phone camera. The dual pixel technology and large pixel size makes it incredible for low light. Took some pics on holiday in a cave.. Beat people's dslrs hand held. (I specifically took my phone rather than my dslr)

There isn't anything I see as better. Better camera and battery is always welcome.. But performance. I need no more

I will keep my edge a while I bet.

Only 2 things I'd like. A better DAC and stereo speakers

Oh, and 11 hats!

Launch ≠ Release

I've always interpreted somebody saying a product launch as the announcement, not the release unless I've been interpreting it wrong.

It'll probably release like 2 weeks later like the S7 did iirc

According to a report out of China, at least 23 executives unexpectedly took to the stage and knelt en masse on the stage facing the audience. It was meant to be a gesture of gratitude and apology but as a picture of that rapidly went viral on Chinese social media, it garnered a strong reaction from the public. Some took to Weibo to express their feelings, saying that Samsung had shown disrespect for Chinese culture by having its employees kneel.

They simply can't afford to (and not in tehfinancial manner!) make the same mistakes again :p

Can you imagine the execs of a western tech giant doing this!
