Well I bit the bullet and got it!
Through my employee offer site I get 12 months free insurance and 10% cashback so that brings it down to around £630 (adjusted the cashback for VAT).
Should be able to recoup most if not all the cost from my iPhone and Apple Watch.

Upgrade deals I'm being shown on the EE website are awful - upwards of £60 a month for a decent data allowance. Going to see what they can offer over the phone or website chat.

why are you witholding information? Most places would give you jail time for such an offence!
I'm not witholding it at all. I got unlimited texts/minutes 15gig data all can be used within the EU S8+ FOC £52 a month.

Phone manufacturers don't like making things easy to buy, that'd be silly.
Much better doing exclusive deals with retailers only interested in selling the worst variant because of 0.0001% higher margin.
