**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

What do you guys think of the headphone included? Honestly for £100 headphones I cant really tell the different between them and my cheap £10 ones lol

Is the transition from say an S7 to S8 pretty much a case of logging into your Samsung cloud account on S8 and getting the last backup of your device? In theory, guess that will pull across apps settings etc bit like how an iPhone sync works with iTunes
I used smart switch via cable but you can do it via cloud.

you can't avoid it because the edge is gradiently tinted

Exactly this, one of the downsides to the curved display. Took me a while to get used to on my S6 Edge at the time.

So far I'm delighted with the phone, replaced the standard icons with material ones and installed a bunch of Google apks to give me Google Phone and Contacts apps as they are much better than the standard Samsung ones.

are you guys noticing a red tint on the sides of the screen? go to settings so you have a full white screen, and I swear I see a pinkish tint!
Not that im seeing at the moment, have the screen setting set to WQHD, all other settings set to default, been playing with it a lot since this morning and not seen any pink tint happening so far that i can see.

Are you using nova launcher to achieve this?

Me too!! can't get rid of it by turning down the red!

mine started off like that but now isn't noticeable at all.
now the shineyness has worn off (yes already lol) - its a flippin fingerprint and dust magnet!

with a case on the fibres from my jeans are getting stuck in the edges all round.

can't say I like the white GUI in settings and stuff - still installing apps etc.

Have you ever had high class earphones and know what the difference should be? Is the music you're trying to listen high quality (ie FLAC or other lossless format, not crappy spotify stream)?

I will stick to my ie80s anyway when phone comes and will sell these but cant imagine they would be as bad as the standard ones or whatever up to £20 you can buy. Surely im not expecting ie80 or equivalent quality but the cheap stuff is dreadful.

Sweet :)
What messaging system is that? Can't see any live chat feature on the site?

Also can't remember for sure... but you ordered the + right?
