**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

Mine has just arrived. Came with some leather sort of pouch (no idea what it's for as there's nothing that size in the box) oh and a larger satchel bag labelled Samsung Galaxy. err wot? lol.

So, full charge to start with or just whack in the sim and play? - want to condition the battery for optimal use.

Doesn't even need to be the full finger, provided it is part of your fingerprint it seems to work just fine!

Just getting around to having it set up and having a quick play with it but it does seem to be a fantastic device, the screen is amazing!

For those still waiting from Samsung you'll probably get Shipped Emails sent out soon as I just got that just this second for my Covers when they were showing as shipped on the original order page yesterday.
 
It's been a while since I've had a new phone - forgotten everything lol

Best way to transfer my stuff from my existing Z3 across? - got texts and stuff that I need
 
Is the transition from say an S7 to S8 pretty much a case of logging into your Samsung cloud account on S8 and getting the last backup of your device? In theory, guess that will pull across apps settings etc bit like how an iPhone sync works with iTunes
