**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus Thread ****

I couldn't see a thread yet. I'm due an upgrade soon and I expect I'll go for a Samsung again. Not seen one yet but the rumours sound good, the usual couple of models. It's being unveiled 25th of feb in an unpacked event. Camera improvements is all I have seen so far.

Screen protector is essential

I had major issues trying to find a protector that fitted my s7 edge that was both responsive and stayed attached. In the end I just gave up and went naked. I've dropped it a couple of times but only on carpet and it is fine. I hope the protectors are better for the s9 plus.

I'm still setting mine up as my sdcard developed a fault and I had to format it. I will sort of miss the VR headset from my S7 but I didn't use it much tbh. Too vomit inducing. The headphones sound quite poor but I am used to my Jaybird's however, the speakers are pretty good. You could easily watch netflix or something on it with those speakers, or even listen to some music at a pinch. usb C is really handy, this is my first device with it on other than my PC lol. The case I bought it fine, looks nice. It feels much smoother than my S7 the AR emogy thingy is pointless.

Have you checked your VR box to see if it came with a choice of USB connections?. I've just checked mines to discover it has and thats an older headset (V2??) that came out before the pre-bundled controller.

Is you version white or black? I think I have the older white version with only micro USB.

It's a lovely phone no doubt. The keyboard seem much more accurate or rather my fat fingers seem to make less errors when typing compared to the s7 edge. I do feel it doesn't quite have the same wow factor
That the s7 had although it is better in every way apart from the missing VR element. No free headset.
