The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

The FSC Weston 2013 is on!

http://www.fscweston.co.uk/

I attended last year, albeit with a bad hangover. You have a great setup in the background of the helicopter museum and the geekyness of the flight sim market. Lots attended last year including PC Pilot and a man from Saitek.

Some big companies going. I think I will go this year. 2hr drive from London. Will be a nice day out.

Anybody tried this fix with the clouds? I do get this quite a bit. The guys over at Opusfsx recommend you do it.

Any of you guys use Ezdok? I had a look at the manual and it looks terribly complex. I'm not sure I could be bothered having to set it all up.

Do any of you set up custom views for the addon aircraft? I'd like to add some new views to the S-key view cycle but not sure if this is possible.

Never used it Ringo. I have thought of getting TrackIR but not sure.

OpusFSX has a function for setting up new camera views. So I will spend some time on that and get that sorted.

The cloud fix I posted above. In P3D its already set to False. I think these guys are really on top of things.

Does anyone else have "Airport Enhancement Services"? I've installed it at various airports yet I'm seeing nothing at the likes of Kai tak. I see all the vehicles at Gatwick but they don't do anything. Am I missing something?

Jason, you have to activate each airport. Click on the AESHELP GUI. You should see a list of installed airports. On the right you will see Full or Demo click on the airport you want i.e. Kai Tak, then at the bottom click "Assign credits to selected airport for full AES support" once you at the airport its Ctrl Shift W for your different commands

I'm also interested in Ezdok to give my FSX movies more depth.. :)

The Ctrl Shift W is working now. could have sworn I pressed it before and it didn't work. Thanks.

The Spainish scenery has been mentioned a couple of times previously in the thread and the document you link to also shows you how to use bit torrent to get the files. I've uploaded over 30 complete copies of Spainish scenery so far :)

It's very good for free but the UK photoscenery has been tweaked to hide the joins, some are quite obvious for Spain.

My bad, never noticed it had been mentioned previously :(

Wasn't really meant as a criticism, when you've got a 100+ pages it's useful to remind people especially as there has been this update since then.

If you've not spotted it there are also Belgium, Greece and Netherlands available for free too. Plus BlueSky do some areas of USA.

Just wanted to say that I completed my first tutorial flight successfully yesterday, so thanks to everyone for the hints and tips :)

Even though it was an autolanding, it was still a thrill the see the plane line up the centre line of the runway and land perfectly.

Next step will be a manual landing followed by an approach to Innsbruck, which I suspect will take many tries before it is performed properly :)

Well done! After about 12 years of simming I did my first landing in Innsbruck the other day following the PMDG tutorial flight. Let's just say I wouldn't have liked to be a passenger sat in the back!

shahpor , I'm pleased to hear that. Well done.

I'll get another flight plan together for this weekend. The choices will be between touring R.O.I or doing some 'Buffalo Airways' flights. Any preference?
