The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

Got Orbx England and the difference is staggering, been practicing my radio / nav / takeoff and landings by bombing around liverpool / blackpool and all the small airports doing as many landings and takeoffs as i can in the default Cessna.

That's great to hear. If you have 2 monitors, get Plan-G installed as an excellent freeware mapping tool.

I think they are worth it. They are much prettier and seem to fly well too. Carenado also offer planes not available as default. I really like the 337 although I do wish I could wash the windscreen sometimes as I keep thinking I've a dirty mark on my monitor ;)

Sounds good, just need to decide which one to buy, i think it's between the 152 II and the 172N at the moment :)

Finding it really good fun, i've been using my second monitor for the radio stack, air traffic window and GPS. Will give Plan-G a try tonight but it looks like a great tool from my limited reading.

I keep getting 'out of memory' error. Happens during longer flights. No idea what's going on. Looks like I'm going have to do a complete re-install.

Hey.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but FlightSim Pilot Shop are currently doing 50% off REX. Think it is about £15 for REX Overdrive

Would this be a good purchase?

Thanks.

Rex Overdrive provides real world weather / user defined weather and also textures to your FSX experience.

I love it and at that price it's a steal.

But there others that use Active Sky on this forum?

Stopped using rex for real weather I'm using OpusFSX but still use REX for textures which are great!

That is a steal!

Agree with Vuvuzela. The textures are amazing, but the weather engines is extremely buggy. Since using Opus with just the Rex textures, I have not had one single crash.

There's two aspects to it.

The first I understand. That is how to set up different cameras and access them.

The second I haven't touched. This is the 'movement' from runway bumps to turbulence. This I wouldn't yet understand.

Hi folks,

I trust everyone is well as I return with my first screen shot post in over 6 months, life sure does fly-by (pun intended) when you are busy. But I finally had some time to get my FSX up and running again and will hopefully be posting a bit more regular. For now, enjoy this three star return with Captain Sim's new offering of the L-1011 Tristar, which I have been thoroughly admiring and enjoying for the past few days, as you can see in the shots:

Very nice shots.

For those interested in 3 engine jets, this is a good project.

Through Vatsim, I've picked up on FSEconomy.

It's a way to fly and earn virtual cash.

What's good about it, is that it too me out to new airfields that I wouldn't have otherwise ventured to.

Here's some shots:-

Is it anything like JustFlight's Cargo or Airliner Pilot addons?

Really enjoyed them as it added 'purpose' to my simming, and I've always enjoyed management games so yeah, flying and management in one :D

I've no idea.

You sign up on the forum. Ask for a user name from there.

Load up the client. See what 'missions' are available from an airfield. Rent an aircraft and fly the mission. You're then rewarded with your money and charged for the plane.
