Hey guys,

I have been trying to find out if the new AMD HD7990 card is any good with FSX. From what I have read, the specs on the card outshine even the Nvidia Titan, esp in memory bandwidth and shaders. From reading its specs, my guess is that it should be awesome for FSX. But cannot find info yet on how this card performs on FSX, if anyone finds any info or a link, please share.

Regards

The 7990 is a dual gpu card, so i doubt it would work well in fsx, you would probably be better off going with the titan. Alternatively theres supposed to be a titan 2.0 of some description coming in the next few weeks so it may be worth while holding off a bit :)

Hey guys, ultra noob question, but is there an easy way to plan your flights?

I remember printing off hundreds of sheets explaining how to input the proper numbers of the airports and runways etc, but that seems like really hard work!

I just want to fly around a bit and do a short flight from say London to Paris, is there an easy mode?

Ideally i'd like to follow the satnav, not hoops in the sky.

Cheers :)

For UK only use SimSRD which uses up to date standard routings. I'd recommend looking at vRoute for a good easy to use flight planning tool.

The inbuild Flight Planner in FSX will give you all you need for basic flying. Either direct GPS or VOR to VOR flying.

This will feed into your GPS unit on the plane.

If you're using a plane with an FMC or equivalent, then try http://vataware.com or the awesome Aivlasoft EFB.

There used to be a an awesome mod for FS9 called FSNavigator where you could plan the flight using GPS waypoints, it would take control of the autopilot and you could run it on a second screen.

Is their anything like this for FSX, preferably free?
