Thanks for getting back to us Red, but thats not what we need to replicate your SweetFX settings, all those files are identical in everyones SweetFX - what we need is your settings file

It'll be in your FSX directory like this:

"SweetFX_settings"

Sorry about that I'm not sure what I'm doing with SweetFX... But it seems we have a problem :( I'm using FlightFX which was created to use with Rise of Flight but works with FSX adding a GUI with sliders to change the SweetFX profiles.

The doc you point to in the image has no settings info, just a link location to the preset in the FlightFX folder, which is what I listed a couple of pages back.

It seems FlightFX uses SweetFX in a slightly different way and the only way to share settings is to use FlightFX... unless anyone knows different?

Just wondering, can you muliplay betweeen FSX and Prepar3dv2? Only asking as have P3D installd (was having too much hassle with FSX crashing and fatal errors not letting me play) and am wanting to try and get into some muliplayer, online flights .... not done any but have some RL experience with flying / voice comms so should not be that scary....:eek:
 
For online flights, you can use Vatsim, IVAO or the Gamespy replacement servers.

I'd suggest Vatsim if you already have Comms experience.

Sim wise will each others planes appear in the sim? (ie will your FSX planes show up in my P3D and viccy vercy?)
 
I've no experience but I'd be very surprised if you could use Gamespy (i.e. FSX) servers with P3D. M$ didn't even allow FSX SP1 to talk to FSX SP2!
 
Thanks Blue, off to investigate FSCloud. Never had much luck with hosting lots of players in FSHost even when we had all the right ports opened. At the Bristol Flight Sim Group we've been using a modified FSD (VATSIM) server. P.S. The server is on 24/7 if anyone wants to join and fly multiplayer in a friendly environment ;)
 
Hi guys, so finally got myself a joystick thrustmaster hotas. Iv got lots to learn.
I have EZdok now and have been playing around with the views but I want to know if there is any addons to the cockpit look better because some of the text on dials are not readable at all.

What aircraft are you having trouble reading the dials on?

Just check that you have High resolution 3d cockpit option checked in the Settings > Aircraft menu options
Most of the default FSX aircraft use very low res textures in the virtual cockpit and aren't the best - higher quality payware addons tend to use much crisper higher res textures.

Bit of a long shot here, but I don't suppose anyone who has PlaySims Horizon VFR Generation X Vol 8 - Scotland South could do me a massive favour?

Am re-installing the volumes I have and have noticed that Disc 5 of my copy has a rather install stopping crack in it.

Wouild be eternally grateful if someone could send me a copy of that disc and that disc alone?

Mods, please delete if this is against rules on copied software, but as I am only asking for one disc that does not contain any installer am hoping this is OK.
