The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

Blue, sounds good mate. I will be be up for any of that. I'm around most of the week too.

What is the main purpose of FSUIPC 4?(I do have it installed) but is it worth getting the paid version?

Stevie, I will help you this week mate. I wasn't on much this weekend we had family come stay with us.

I've only go the free version of FSUIPC 4. The paid version does loads.
http://www.flightsimdaily.com/add-ons/fsuipc-440-released/

Essentially it allows third party bits to talk to FS.

Then it allows a mountain of yokes, buttons, paddles, dials etc to be used at the same time or with different hardware profiles.
So if you had a throttle on your joystick, you could have a zone for 'reverse thrust'.

Then it does some handy stuff, such as saving your flight everyso often so if FSX crashes, you can start almost where you left off.

It smooths out the weather engine so it isn't so jumpy between weather cells.

Also, have you seen at the moment, 'the' 747 is $54.99. Which is approx £35. :) I haven't, though I wanna.

That's a good write up cheers. It does quite a lot I see.

Yes I'm very tempted too. I love the 747 one of my favorite aircraft's. I also want EFB

I'm assuming you are talking about the PMDG 747? If so then if you wait a 'little' while then you will get the newer version! Will be worth waiting on as the existing model is quite a resource hog.

Yeah it was announced a while back - it hopefully will arrive this year but knowing PMDG it could well end up fairly late. I really wouldn't bother wasting money on the current one though.

I know you have your own ‘high res’ on this thread, but I don’t pop in as much as I should.
However I do look and post in the ‘High Res Screenshot’ thread quite a lot, would be nice to see a variety of aircraft on there, military, domestic, private, commercial & oddity, if anyone has any to post on there..

:)

I thought there were a number of people complaining about posting pictures of planes in that thread? Yet again if it's not a picture to do with Skyrim They complain.
