Not overly convinced by this as yet, although I haven't been playing it very long. The graphics are distinctly average in places, particularly the indoor sections, and worst of all I'm getting quite a lot of stutter. I'd forgotten how annoying the whole "LOADING" thing from HL2 is, and sometimes it's in stupid places like when there is an enemy right round the corner, so you load up an autosave to find an enemy shooting at you
There's really no excuse for having such small levels, OK so it might help those with under a gig of RAM, but it interrupts the flow of the game too much.
The source engine does do a good job of making fairly dull outdoor environments look quite realistic, but at times it feels like there's a lack of definition, making it hard to spot enemies at a distance and also which doors/entrances etc can be opened. Looks like I might need to start messing around with powerstrip or my driver control panel just like I have to with HL2.
