Nope, it clearly says "Extras included, unlimited landline calls and mobile internet & web mail"

No mention of any small print or 3 months only.

Hmmmm, just read the screen is resistive rather than capacitive. That's pretty poor really and makes me not want the phone now.

What's wrong with resistive, it's not as bad as iPhone users make out.;)

As long as it's on a decent specced phone its perfectly fine.:)

As i have had the phone now for just over a day, i thought id add some comments about the phone :)

Where do i start, first of all compared to my Nokia N97 i am now able to make / receive calls at home with no problem. The phone its self is very impressive, it’s very quick and snappy. However, one little grumble i do have with the phone is the Vodafone software on it. To start with i found the phone a little clunky with the Vodafone standby menu active once i swapped this back to the Sony Ericsson one the phone is fine and very user friendly. So i think this is a must for all Satio users. Texting with the phone is excellent the on screen qwerty keyboard is very good. The touch screen even though the phones screen is based upon resistive technology is surprising very good. Ids go so far as to say it is as good as the one on the iPhone.

So far ive been unable to get the navigation to work on the phone, as it look like its trying to get to a webpage to download the software and all i am getting HTTP 503 errors (HTTP Error 503 - Service unavailable) Is this a problem with the page its trying to contact or is this a problem with the Vodafone branding?

Multimedia wise this phone is fantastic its a complete dream to use for playing MP3 / Videos. Once i am up to speed with the software it will be replacing my iPod.

However, as i said earlier i believe the phone would be much better IF it didn’t have the Vodafone software branding.

I am very impressed with the touch screen on this phone, its as good as the iPhone one i currently have in my hand at the mo. :)

Im amazed how easy it was typing out a TXT on the wide screen QWERTY keybaord using both thumbs. I was typing fairly quickly and never once registered a wrong letter.

It was much quicker than predictive text on other phones.
I also have an iPod Touch. It took a little bit of change to the Satio touch screen. But now its very 2nd nature.

Very impressed. I think I'll be ditching the Vodafone themes tho.

Think I'm definitely going to be buying this.

Through Vodafone/Quidco you get £90 cash back on a pay monthly purchase, plus I can sell my N95 through various mobile 'recycling' sites for about £120. All in all, £210 return on buying a £630 contract, not bad at all!

Andy, can you comment on the battery? It's what worries me thus holding off from buying

Well, ive been hammering it today and its lasted about a day. So id say under normal uses it would last a fair few days.

By hammering it i mean, ive had the brightness up to full and ive been pretty much had a solid 3g connection all day with surfing the web.

Ahh thats one thing i have forgot to mention. The web browser on the phone is great. I am really impressed with it. Its very quick and simple to use. :D

Ive done the same with my old N95. :D

I would recommend this phone to anyone, my friend was soo impressed with it this evening he is getting one in the morning.

There is one :D

I suppose, when they finally have un cocked up my delivery i'll know for sure

Phone Vodafone up yesterday to ask for a change of delivery address, the lady said she had done this and it had been done in time for a delivery today, when it didnt arrive today i phoned up again and this time it is was a guy, when i explained the situation he had a look and the changed address i had given her was nowhere to be seen i reckon she has cocked something up 'cos at one point he said "oh dear, what has she done, i'm confused, why is that there"

Now i have to wait while friday

thanks Andy. oh and does it come with Sony Ericsson's own version of PCSuite and Ovi Store? Do you think they will support firmware updates?

@AndyD

Do you use email with the phone at all? What's the functioning like? Does it come straight into your inbox/what's the set up like with regards to how often it checks your mailbox etc?

Yes, the phone does come with a pc suite. Its very good esp for loading music and videos on the phone. Yes the phone support firmware upgrades. The vodafone software on the phone has a app store on it. Going back to the pc suite, it has all the normal functions you would expect. However, the software comes on the phone rather then a cd with is pretty cool. So you just plug it in and it fires up like a normal usb stick. I am writing this from the phone now ha ha.
