*** The Official Sony Ericsson Satio Thread ***

Is it just me, or is the screen on the Satio a little "dull"?....maybe "dark" is a better word.

I was comparing it instore to my N95 today, and the screen on the N95 just seems so much brighter and clearer/easier to read, there was really no contest in it. Any thoughts/opinions?

Dunno, never really noticed. The photos I took looked quite vibrant considering the lens size. Have you had a play with the brightnes and contrast settings?

Are you sure it doesnt already have one on, every touchscreen, or indeed any phone i have ever had came with a screen protector on.

For a screen protector you can get one called "Invisible Shield" that you stick on. Much better than the one you get with it but a pain to fit.

you still have not told me wether it will be compatable with this handset

Looking at this post on the Vodafone forum i am not sure now.

Hi kevmass,

Unfortunately, other than the Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 and the Vodafone 360 Samsung M1 I am unable to confirm any further handsets that will incorporate the new Vodafone 360 service.

For any other 360 fans out there, you might want to check out our All About 360 pages as it gives an overview as to what the service incorporates and offers. On a personal opinion, it looks like one of the best, if not the best service Vodafone have released in years!

Kind regards

FINALLY got it this morning, first impression, after taking the Vodafone front screen off, its nippy, awesome screen quality, takes pictures quick, sound quality whilst making a call is good, touchscreen is not as good as a touch or iphone, but nevertheless its still very responsive and feels good to use, gunna give it a charge now before connecting it to my PC, see what the pics and videos look like in full size.

Cheers for the info on the Invisible Shield, will be ordering one of those. So far i'm quite impressed with the phone, only problem i have had is the odd random reboot, anyone else having these?

Voda said mine was gonna come last fri but then they called and changed it to this tues (tomorrow) but now they are saying they won't have any in stock until 18th Nov!!!!! :(

WTF? how has it suddenly changed from a few days delay to a month?! I hate this crap, at least when the P900, P990... were delayed it was pre-launch delays so I kind of expected the wait. I never had people promising me a close, specific delivery date getting my hopes up just to let me down straight away...

Aaaaahhh the frustration!

Glad to see you happy at last Andy:D. after the farce with the N97 at least your free now lol.
I had a look at one today feels a lot lighter than the N97 and the screen is a bit larger.
seems like they have changed the icons around on the phone but you can see clearly that it is the same Symbian 6 like the N97. nice to see that it holds the 3G signal not like the N97.
seems like a decent phone really the images move quite quickly which is a plus.
Anyway good luck mate with your new handset.

what is the touch screen like on this? i read a few reviews and they seem to dislike it! some even saying you need to use one of those pen thingys with it? how is it just using your fingers? or do you need to use your nail?

Full qwerty keyboard is great for email and texts, very quick once you get the hangof the two thumb typing!

One gripe of mine is that the speakerphone doesn't go very loud, anyone any ideas on getting it louder, is there an inbuilt safety mechanism that stops it going too loud?

Also, anyone know how to get the MAC address of the wifi connection as my router has MAC filtering enabled and i can't find out the address to add it.
