320 MB onboard storage...If thats true that's a BIG FAIL. Funny how it wasn't on the OP's Fact Sheet.

The original desire had 512MB and that dissapears in no time. The X10 had a 1GB ROM.

That's not so much of a problem with A2SD though. However, I have read so many different values quoted 320, 512 & 1GB.

It also depends if that's space to install apps or its the total ROM size. Ahh well...... lol

A2SD is useful but the number of apps that actually support A2SD is very small.

If its 320MB Total then that's a mahoosive problem lol.

True. lol

However, I only have around 25 installed on my phone at the mo and thats only using 100Mb. Id depends how many you want to install I guess. :p

The x10 wasn't and isn't rubbish it just wasn't allowed to meet its full capabilities.
but I won't be buying sony again, I'm going for the LG X2 which still has a 8mp camera, plus I've seen on the boxes that it states 'always upgradable to the latest android'

I'm looking at dual core phones. The LG X2 looks good but I really don't like the back cover, the atrix is top of my list atm i think however the iPhone 5 could sway it - price dependant lol as they are truely very expensive.

The 1st gen Desire has ~147MB available for apps, that's why it dissapears in no time ;) 320MB will be more than enough with a2sd (and big games using the SD card natively)

I'd be more concerned about a possible 380MB RAM, which is laggsville with Androids multitasking. :(

The ARC has 512Mb RAM though, the Neo has 380Mb Ram

Ooops! My mistake...320MB should be enough for the majority of people.

The Desire's 147MB is abysmal!.

Surprised the Arc's not here..

The Nice People at Voda have allowed me an upgrade 180 days before my current contract is up!...

Was all geared up to Get a Desire HD or Z, then went online had a looksee, and noticed the Arc on pre-order... so poped it down as my Upgrade to be delivered to store on the day of release (can't get it sent to work!!)...

So I'll have one by the end of Next week!!!.. :)

Not a bad upgrade from a BlackBerry 9700 thats gettiing a little long in the tooth!! (Mazuma will give me £125 for that!! :) )

Very nice, I should be collecting mind next week from ether Best Buy / CPW depending who has stock first :D

Hmmm, work contract coming up in May/June. Currently got a Bold 9780 but they're locked to Orange & it's looking likely that we will be moving to O2.

Was looking for a Android phone that was coming out around then - this is looking a likely contender. What's Android like for managing a (mainly) Windows domain? Might need some ammo to convince people that Blackberry is a bit poo for my purposes.

Is it possible to get a handset, with no contract but with insurance? Then again I've got my personal contract with Orange coming up for renewal soon, perhaps I can persuade them to give me one for a fee.
