***The Official Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc Thread***

Just got off the phone with the Orange upgrade team - the Arc has slipped from their scheduled April 1st release to 'an unspecified date in April'.... bummer! :(
 
Hello people!

Finally found a forum for the Xperia Arc! :D

Im in Ireland and there is no definite release date here. I've tried all the networks and none of them can tell me anything about the phone. I found out today however that the vodafone staff are going to a Sony talk tonight to find out all about the Play, Arc, Neo and Pro so they should have more info tomorrow if I pop in - in terms of release date, prices etc…

I reckon I'll be picking it up Sim Free though, so I might just buy it online. Cant wait to get it. Looks fantastic!!

Sorry, I didn't ask. When I called last week it was scheduled to follow the same April 1st release date as the Arc (the Neo was down as 'sometime in April') but I've no idea if that's slipped too.

I cant honestly say until I've tried it properly though. 'Picture samples' are always a bit all over the place in many cases.

Yea I agree about the sample pictures though.
 
A little disappointing tbh,

I had hoped they'd used the 1/2.3 Exmor R but it's just a tiny mobile version (a bit smaller than the iPhone 4's 5mp sensor too)

Nevermind, it's a thin phone so guess you can't have everything...
 
Pics look pretty good to me! Really like the night time photos.

Can anyone recommend the best online retailer selling it sim free?
