So next two spaceX flights are Geo, so suicide barge landing attempts with little fuel. Then third flight will be return to land. Wonder they're they're going to launch a used core.

Can anyone explain why the bottom third is black but on launch its white? Whats the cause?

Soot deposit from the engines on re-entry is widely quoted but it could also be that the white paint coat surface has burnt off. The areas covered by the legs before opening remain the original white. SpaceX have kept quiet about that aspect of the Falcon design
