All the above comes to £758.82 inc vat and delivery I have only picked a 650w psu as i have no intention of getting a second gpu buy the time i can afford anything else i may as well do a full rebuild, i picked exstra fans and difrent cpu cooler due to knowing i would be tempted to overclock it.Reason for processer is i heard they great overclockers.

What i would like to know is do you think there is any way i could possibly improve on the build within my budget (do you think im spending wisely) and will the build i have come up with be able to play the latest games on max settings with 19in moniter max res 1440 x 900.

Number crunching box...

Okay, doing some encoding on my olde laptoppe and it's taking an age. Swapped to ye greate Shuttle and it's no better because it's just as old :D

So it's time to get with the times and upgrade. Basically I need processing power and storage space. Graphics is not a concern, neither is huge amounts of RAM, just need number crunching power for ripping discs to the iPod etc.

Been out of the computer market for a while so I'm well out of touch. I think a terrabyte of space should cover us for now, would prefer a desktop system but as small as possible. Don't need a screen, just a nice quality simple case, onboard graphics is fine, already got Windows XP, got disk drives. Used to be able to build a respectable box for under £200, what would I be able to do now?

Want to stay with Windows so PC suggestions only please :)

Thanks in advance guys, and sorry for being a bit sketchy on the prices. I don't really have a budget for it, I'm just after some recommendations really.

Also a somewhat related question if I may. As far as DVD-RW's are concerned, is there much difference between the SATA and IDE ones? Any issues with booting off CD's with the SATA's? Sorry for the noob questions :D

Thanks again.

I have a questions about this set up:

Mobo:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-141-AB
RAM:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-033-KS

Will it Run the Latest Games on MAXIMUM Possible settings with High FPS etc ... I want to be able to play latest games on Full Settings Smoothly?

FSX, Far Cry 2, GTA4, Fallout 3, ...

Also is it worth upgrading from this? I mean how much better will the new system be?

RAM:DDR PC3200 400Mhz 3GB
GFX:1GB ATI 4670 PCS PCI EXpress 2.0
