It’s quite a steep learning curve the further you get in. I keep coming across stuff and wondering if there a tutorial, it’s attached to a story quest or I’ve missed something.

I had to look up how to lockpick as I didn't get the very quick flashup tutorial. Then I didn't realise I could rotate the keys lol.

I'm actually annoyed at the bugs lol. How did you lot convince me to get this game! I'd have got it through Steam had I known what was in store in order to refund! :o

You know you are loving it with all the beta testing. You probably got your moneys worth already

DLSS mod is working just fine on the gamepass version btw.

DLSS looking far better and also performs better too than fsr 2  Can't believe amd still can't get their own sponsored official games to look good with FSR 2, cp 2077 still the best implementation ffs.
anyone on a current gen card probably doesn't need it.

on a 4090 at 75% power cap I barely see 65% gpu usage, I'm only at 3440x1440 though, maybe 4k is a bit more taxing but i'd imagine anyone with say a 4000 series card can run it fine without sacrificing visual IQ

Surprised how well this runs on my Laptop maybe the 14C/20T CPU is being put to use. Set everything to ultra and at 2560x1600 it is above 60fps so far.

What laptop do you have? I've got a strix scar 17 2022 se and I'm hoping to have decent performance on this laptop.

PC performance is terrible by the looks of it

Trying to run in high+ detail at 1440p or better on my i7/2060 gaming laptop is not fun.

I've seen better FPS from a Comic Book.....

HD at medium or less is perfectly playable though but graphically looks worse than modded skyrim.

I’ve missed so many tutorials that have flashed up while I’m in the middle of something.

One things for sure, the menus are driving me up the wall as is the dreadful UI -
- multiple clicks to travel anywhere
- you can’t seem to equip gear from the ‘sales menu’, so, back into the inventory I go
- hovering over items in a chest/body etc should at least tell you the weight/value without having to go into another menu

Menus, menus, loading screen, loading screen.

That said, just landed on a barren moon that was absolutely stunning. Somehow managed to find enemies that while several levels lower were darn tough.

Somehow lost another 3 hours and nearly forgot about lunch.

No HDR, No ultrawide and badly optimised? It doesn't even look that great image quality wise. I'll pass on this for awhile, relying on things like image scaling rather than sorting their engine out is really getting stale. Seems like typical Bethesda, FO4 disappointed me in the same way.

At least mobs aren't launching us into the stratosphere here. (though I actually think that's a loss )

Is there a way to get numbers on the HP bar?
Items are +5 hp but I have no real idea how much that is apart from the bar doesn't seem to move much.

Not that I can see no, but if using food, the numbers are so small it doesn't matter (but there may be better ones later)

If you haven't skilled up, you know the whole bar is 200, so you can estimate from what the item gives, not ideal but heyho.

I really really wanted to play this on the SX but the 30FPS cap is quite a difficult experience to swallow. However, performance is also pretty dire on my 3080 when using the default game settings on start-up, I'm seeing sub 60 in external settings and sub 40 on interiors!

Just noticing 21.9 doesn't work either  I thought the game looked off, funny thing is you can see that when you go to and from the menu, it almost looks like it is trying to transition to a 21.9 format.

Guess I'll be playing this on the 55e7 4k oled then.

Why am I not surprised, ******* bethsada :D

The CPU to GPU utilisation I've noticed is all over the place, some parts GPU is always 99%, whilst other parts it does go haywire even though frame pacing and fps etc are all good.

GameSpot and IGN gave this a 7/10.

That's pretty mediocre.

Although metacritic gives it an 88 which is close to 90 which is a sign of a great game.

Their scores seem to be based on the fact that it's just Skyrim/fallout 4 in space. So I suppose it's fair to a certain degree.

It doesn't sound like they've pushed any boundaries or made anything remarkable.
