It does.

I mean full-blown PVP in a game like that, can go and do one..

But having a no-mans sky style exploration with friends, where you can all share a base, and in this case - all be mooching about inside your own spaceship, I don't want to do that with NPCs, I want my friends in coop.

Especially with how customisable it look, in terms of making your own ships - I want to be able to share all of that with mates in real time in the game.

Or at least the ability to switch it from SP, to COOP - it being locked to SP is a bit of a fail tbh..

Right... i mean it looks great, but if you can't have this experience with your friends, if you're doing it alone, it get's boring very quickly.

I agree coop would have been great. As long as the planets and events aren't too duplicated I'll be happy to sink some time into exploring. Lets face it though, we all know modders are what makes these games and keeps them going. I look forward to playing it a year after launch and having to spend a day sorting out my mod load order :D

In NMS we must have spent hundreds of hours just trekking around all over the place to get different ships, comparing them, selling them, doing missions together and stuff, 3-4 of us, it was great... That translated into Starfield would literally be amazing, but meh.

Hmm just watched the trailer and that gameplay vid by jackfrags (unfamiliar with him) and it seemed like a lot of trading and crafting. I hope there's a good story line in there with good writing and multiple choices and arcs.

With such a big universe I wouldn't mind multiplayer unlocking after end game.

To be honest the trailer didn't really make me as excited as I thought I would be...

I do wish this was a multiplayer MMO, it kinda sucks that its single player.
You know that in a year or two later theres going to be an online Starfield 76 or equivalent though once everyones got used to the idea of the SP game they'll bring it out an MP just to rake in a bit more cash to get people to cough up for yet another version only this time its you can play with your friends etc, you know its coming

That was a shot for shot remake of No Man's Sky.
Does a few things differently, been a while since I last played NMS but in Starfield for example theres more gunplay, your ships can be redesigned and built on a modular scale, not just a set ship design. You can wander around inside your ship with a hired crew compliment and you can redesign the interior of the ship on a room to room basis. As I say though, been a long time since I played NMS so no idea if those things are in NMS now.

Nice. Wasn't it Squadron 1337?

Better known as Squadron 404.

This might be different, a lot of fade to black and disguised loadscreens, that complicates multi player.

And 30 FPS locked on the new consoles.

I don't see why it would need that much grunt.
It's probably for a more consistent frame rate rather than any issues with grunt. If they lock the FPS at 30 then even if the game runs at 100FPS then suffers from frame drops to even 35-40 FPS it won't even be noticed.
