***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Lots of people with memory issues in here. Preordering Games is stupid but preordering from Devs with a proven poor track record is just insanity to me.

I'll be playing 6 to 12 months after release when the game is playable and probably on sale
I'll play on day one because its essentially free on Gamepass and I'm not going to turn down Starfield for "free" :)

Is there a day/ night cycle to each planet with all moons rotating around accordingly? Will there be large oceans to explore and build in?
Yes to the first one question, with the lighting different depending upon the type of star/s and the planets atmosphere type. Dont know about oceans, dont think I saw any of significant size in the videos

Fallout 4 wasn't too bad on release, I played it and other the fact it didn't like crossfired graphics cards it was mostly ok from memory.

New Vegas had a very bad bug with the slow mo death cam thing that would hard lock my pc, 100% of the time, but you were able to disable that as a game option and it worked ok....

Admittedly I never played Fallout 76 upon release, although I have it and love it, I only bought it about 6 months ago.

I've talked myself out of buying the Constellation pack, I already have a Garmin smart watch, and outside of wearing the Starfield one while playing the game, I'd never wear it otherwise.

I'll stick with my original plan of getting it with Gamepass.

That's more than fair.

Because of life I kept behind the curve, makes it cheaper and things tend to work when I get to them.

I still have to pick up Cyberpunk

Lol. Yeah, good tactic if you can make it work.

God help me, I want the watch too.

And I never preorder anything either.

My birthday is in October, and I'm having an argument with myself as to whether I should break the habit of a lifetime, and treat this as an early birthday prezzie! :p

Do it :p

Some details here:

Are these made in limited numbers?

Some games I just haz to haves it day 1. This is one of those. Some years there is zero must buy games that I want day 1 the whole year.
I'll admit it's the only one I've contemplated since I pre-ordered the Witcher 2 way back when.

I already talked myself out of it, see #466 :o

I guess so, already sold out in parts of America, there were links to Game in the UK, but they don't do international shipping.

Just ordered one. Will probably keep the game and sell the rest of it and break even

If so, I will do beta testing 5 days early for y'all :p

I've been very dubious on this game for a while, especially since we first saw the game play ages ago as it looked clunky, boring, and not fun at all, but that presentation a couple of days ago has turned me around and I think it looks excellent. I just hope it isn't a buggy mess at launch which would be classic Bethesda :p

This guy is well known in the Star Citizen community. its worth watching.

Great video.

Lots of things they have missed out in that so called deep dive.

The video was just a enchanced version of the one they did late last year.

We are 3 months away and we dont even know stuff like what the currency in game is and most importantly, if its moddable...

Dont assume just because past bathesda games were moddable that this will be too.. in may not be and a lot of people, even on this thread are interested in this, mainly for the modding side of it.

What about land vehicles? is there any?

When modding your ship, does it affect your handling?

How does the landing on planet work? can you land literally anywhere and walk across the whole planet(if you wanted to)?

Lots of questions...
