The reason such a mod is banned is the same reason a “remove all non white NPCs” would be banned. Leaving it on opens nexus mods open for criticism and for allowing intolerance and they could eventually lose sponsorship or advertising revenue. I know the idea that using such a mod would be down to the individuals choice. But a person being a bigot/racist/misogynist/homophobe in the privacy of their own home, is still a bigot/racist/misogynist/homophobe.

I've literally just messed around with some settings natively and with and without the mods, trying out all the linked ones above on that guru3d post...

The reshade caused my system to crash multiple times whenever I tried changing either the res or vsync on and off... Deleted it repeated the same settings on and off 3 times... Not a single crash - genuinely having played it vanilla, then used the OG dlss2 mod then the nexus 3/3.5+FG, neither of those caused a single crash...

I've just decided to play it for a bit natively at 1440p with slightly lower settings dialed into 60fps just to see, and it's good enough looking for the smoothness, I think I'll just leave it like this for a bit.

Yep, in real life with people in general regardless of personal opinion/doing it in secret... If you're still a racist/etc in the private of your own home, that doesn't excuse being a wrongun!

Especially if you get that triggered relating to something in a game, that is reaching pretty hard for something to moan about isn't it!

I mean I get their reasons for removing it, I just think that when you have mods on your site which make children nude , or make it so that you can kill the children in games (one would think would one not, that killing children would be something more frowned upon by society than removing a pronoun) then at that point I feel like its merely blatant hypocrisy and virtue signalling. If the idea is to remove offensive mods, then remove all the offensive moda across the board, not just the ones that give you current kudos. Like I say, I'd never use the mods and its not the removal of that mod which I find odd or so different standards, its that they proclaimed the removal of that mod whilst leaving SO many other mods which do things which are just as bad (if not worse in some cases). Its that imbalance in acceptability on their part which doesnt quite tally.

Yet they dont remove nude children mods or mods that make previously unkillable children in a game , killable. Surely you can see the imbalance there? Those ought to also be removed because if you are a peado/child killer in the privacy of your own home, you're still a wrong'un

Just to be clear, I'm in no way moaning about the game, doesnt matter to me if there are pronouns or not, I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy of nexusmods standpoint on this
 
The mods that have children involved resulting in harm or nudity should be banned. I am a parent of 2 and the thought of future games that have the ability to AI your face into games as characters only to be modded to the same degree as the current mods sickens me.
And for those who enjoy this claiming it adds realism, no it doesn't it just adds another tool to ever growing lack of decency and the increase of perversion.
Bethesda should step in on this and pressure nexus imo.

Oh sorry mate, I was merely speaking about people in real life in general, sorry for the confusion.

TBH getting the dlss mod was the first time I'd ever bothered to use the site, but if they're doing noncy and weird stuff like that, then yeah that's messed up!

I dont know that such mods exist for Starfield specifically, the ones I know of are for other games, as I say its not a criticism of Bethesda, its purely a criticism of nexusmods, I know that Nexusmods has a special place in some peoples hearts but liking a company/person shouldnt make them immune from criticism of course. If they want to take a stand against offensive mods, then more power to them, do so with my full backing, but do so across the board not just cherry picking the issue that you're taking a stand against.

I've edited my original post, sorry I didn't realise this was a thing that site/it's users does, I've genuinely only used it for that dlss mod and never been on there before.
Sounds pretty F'ed up though mate I agree!

I was merely speaking in general that people even being racist etc in secret still makes them a wrongun.

I have started to do it more now but if you play the main story there's quite a few scenarios where you 100% need to use your ship so upgrading it and getting new ones is quite vital imo. I also use it a lot for storage too so arranging the interior for easy of life makes sense to me. How often do i fly around and kill stuff? Not much but i do like the odd space battle especially the more epic ones, love boarding enemy ships too so i can kill them, steal their stuff and steal their ship lol.

It is a shame on Nexusmods and I agree it's a kudos grabbing stunt.
I never played Skyrim but I know there is a mod that allows full nudity, also I do not know if there are children in Skyrim. Someone correct me.
I hope there are no such mods made for Starfield in the future but there may well be. I will just steer clear lol.
I do appreciate that folk here are neutral with things like this. Had to rant as I don't get to rant much these days :D

Oh absolutely, nexusmods cant stop offensive mods single handedly but they can at least stop providing them. On all issues not just the current in vogue issues.

I genuinely get, it’s purely an optics thing and look at how it’s OK for the super rich to avoid paying millions in tax. Yet if we do it we end up in court. Or maybe you are super rich? :D

Its the persuasion mini games that really break it, it makes no sense sometimes. The replies to the selection is awful.
