***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Maybe you should re-read what I wrote, because your post is nonsensical and a bit creepy to be honest.
Nawww diddums. Maybe you shouldn't play this game?
"Creepy"? OOkkkk...
All I said was what it sounded like, as did other people, you're force feeding yourself a game you keep moaning about. why not delete it and move on. no one is forcing you to play it?

I clearly have a problem. Level 36 and I've not even been to Akilla City yet and only completed 1 main story quest
people are speed running the main quest in an hour for NG+ bonus gear, so don't go thinking its some 10hour campaign
it's also the weakest part of the game.

It's probably better to rush the campaign at least once and then do all the side content tbh, it seems to be how its intended

The more time i put into playing this game the better it gets. A few bugs so far typical Bethesda type of bugs that you get in Fallout 4 and Skyrim Biggest problem for me so far is the erratic performance it is all over the place.

OCUK doesn't bother Bethesda, but I'd say Reddit probably does :D

On which there’s loads of positivity, minus the usual and expected karma farming and Sony boys.

What’ll really bother Bethesda are the 6 million plus people playing the game, oh no!

Hopefully they do take lots of the constructive feedback on board though.

Typically mirrors were done by having a mirrored version of the entire scene so what you looking at wasn't a reflection at all. Screen-space reflections can't be used for mirrors as they're 'mirroring' geometry that's already been drawn - they're useful for things like floors or bodies of water.

RT should bring some improved reflections but even Cyberpunk can't reflect the player's geometry (weirdly).

I remember unreal 1 having reflective floors in places

Installed the DLSS3 mod on day one and have just ran it alongside medium graphics settings on AW3821. Graphics in places look ok and in others look really ancient, but my PC (and more importantly room) stays at a reasonable temperature!! :D

I think you’ve mistaken Paul for another poster, as nothing about his posts suggest he’s force feeding himself the game.

Almost certain you’ve confused him with the poster who said he was “hate playing” it.

Just flat out weird telling people what to do with their time tbh. If you don’t like the criticism, don’t respond to it and do yourself a favour.

Probably with another lovely poster :p

Yes I am indeed "hate playing" it. Nothing wrong with that as it really is no different to knowingly watching bad movies. So bad they are good. Although I wouldn't say Starfield is so bad it is good. It is just extremely mid. Doesn't really do anything terribly (apart from the writing) but just doesn't really excel at anything either.

My enjoyment from Starfield is being derived from playing it just to see how average it is and then moaning about it here!

Haha innit

Which posters are hanging out and only doing likes instead of posting here themselves?

Or is this just another attempt at trying to police other people’s actions and opinions on a forum?

If people are getting triggered by the like system, it’s no surprise they can’t handle a bit of criticism about a game.

To be fair, in the entire 40 odd year history of video games, there’s only a handful that were well written - and those weren’t flawless either.

The overriding aspect to consider for me is - do i enjoy playing this game. A videogame should be enjoyable to play first and foremost, everything else is secondary imo.

That is a hot take on this thread, playing a game because you enjoy it. Though I sort of get it, sometimes you want to like a game you keep going waiting for it to 'click' and it just never does.
Then again, some people just enjoy being miserable and broadcasting it. Or endlessly dangling bait that is never taken (getting more and more desperate when ignored), what a way to spend time.
