Battlestar Galactica!Tell me more
Ah i thought it was a gallactia ship in Starfield!Battlestar Galactica!
I picked up a diary or note whilst ransacking a ship that just landed and one of the notes was a side quest to visit a London Landmark on Earth, so I quickly jumped to Sol to see what's what. This was my first landing on Earth and knew this Landmark had to beShard.
Very impressive that in the year 2300, Shard still stands with much of its glass when everything else is pancaked. Have to say it looks rather good in this sort of setting.
Must repeat that zero-g gunfights are great...
And a shame that you can't hitch a ride on a ship taking off...
any chance I could play this one handed, but with 4 extra buttons on my mouse, I don't have the use of my left arm/hand since the stroke
I am concerned that nobody has done Galactica yet actually....
Anyone have any ideas to help ?
Not sure about the 4 extra buttons, i play on controller so that’s 8 standard buttons plus you would have to map the wasd keys. Perhaps one of those mmo mice with loads of buttons might allow you enough customisation?any chance I could play this one handed, but with 4 extra buttons on my mouse, I don't have the use of my left arm/hand since the stroke
I'm only an hour or so in but I'm very close to giving up on this. Performance is fine but it's just so ... boring. I've landed at whatever the first city is called and I can already tell it's a funnel to something which I likely won't get excited about.
Does it get any better once I get past what I assume is still the tutorial?
Sort of. I do like it more than I did when playing the first couple of hours.
It's a weird one for me. I'm not particularly thrilled/I don't think it is all that great, yet I still keep going back to it! For every bit that I think is dull as ditch water, there will be an encounter or quest that I quite enjoy.
I sometimes think I'm more in love with the idea of the game , than the game itself .
It just really is a mixed bag.
This is basically it the game itself doesn't do anything out of the ordinary, but the idea of what you can possibly do on moons etc offers a nice treat.sometimes think I'm more in love with the idea of the game , than the game itself .
Still enjoying this. Have put the difficulty up to hard now that I’ve levelled a bit, enjoying the variation in enemy levels that you encounter. Once I fully level health regen it can go up to very hard.
With only a few hours to play in the week I’ve just been doing radiant quests. The more I play the more I think XP and credits are imbalanced. XP is scarce for main quests, but plentiful for radiant quests. On the other hand money is thrown at you too easily. Classic Bethesda limiting vendor cash is the biggest annoyance. Why in a futuristic world with expensive items the vendors don’t have more cash is beyond me. I get it in the ES and fallout, but it doesn’t make sense here. That said, I should have clocked soon that I should just buy a load of their ammo and then just sell the items I’m carrying.

The quests are definitely mixed, I think identity is the biggest problem. Sometimes it’s Alien, sometimes it’s Mass Effect, sometimes it’s NMS, sometimes it’s built for a kid who dreams of being a space cadet. It’s quite variable.

There's no strategy involved in the combat, it's essentially run and gun with no intelligence involved, but because of things like zero G it makes it open up funny ways to go about the run and gun.
Looting has become a bit tedious too I find, tooany lockers to open, too much crap to collect with the hope of one open locker offering epic loot or one dead body dropping a legendary etc.
I'm in it mostly for the exploration and exploitation of the environments on those explores I think.
If you want a quick (cheesy) way of levelling just to go a high level planet with lots of animals and you can farm XP that way.
