***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Ah! I thought that sense of deja vu i got in bases was just coincidence- clearly not.
I do think it was a big fail on Bethesda's part not to have a proc-gen system that kit-bashed structures together to randomize them up a bit. I definitely had the same 'WTF?' moment everyone else did when the second (and third, and fourth) Science Outpost I visited was identical to the first.

I found same exact bases over and over and i did not even reach 100 hours. Proper kills the immersion after awhile. It's like, her we go again. Exact Base, exact same cave etc. That's why I hate procedurally generated content. They have a long way to go to get it right imo.

Boring as **** that game honestly. I really want it to click so I complete it one day. So many people raved about it. Got to be something there.

It’s a beautiful game, it’s got that going for it.

Never got around to finishing it either but I’ve only tried to twice.

well im still over 200hrs into game can go NG+4 anytime, but u know what having too much fun as a baddie, smuggling is starting to bore me though as too easy, rather at least fight my way in, theres nothing grabbing me and shaking me and say look you can do this, wouldnt be so bad if you could make npc's do silly things, or maybe wake up one morning and instead misses saying it was great, turn around and say like, tbh last night was crap, im off to buy a rabbit  just need something different/exciting to happen

So I discovered you can stack the round outpost habs on top of each other quite high using the double habs as the link.

I feel I should have known this sooner. No glitches or tricks needed to do. If using the hillside to help foundation levels you can get higher but run out links.

I found an island on Serpentis IV, big enough to trigger a landing spot but small enough to run around and see the sea from most points.

I've started levelling outpost skills now I'm closer to endgame. This is the start of my homebase in the high level systems, breathable atmosphere, good habitats so can build botany and zoology habs too.

HDR and colour pallete fixed yet?
I doubt the colour palette is going to be 'fixed' since what's there is the artistic choice Bethesda went with - HDR controls may allow you to tailor it somewhat to your taste but if you really don't like the way Starfield looks, there's a few mods already that may help - this one seems interesting:

Maybe it's underwhelming and forgettable because you're not paying attention? :p

On a serious note - I really think Starfield does a remarkable job of its world-building and lore given that it's a new IP for Bethesda - it does follow the typical BGS formula of multiple factions all in some sort of conflict or uneasy peace with one another but given they've made this from scratch, the history and conflicts of the UC, Freestar Collective and the Va'ruun is really well done - I mean, it feels like it has the depth of lore that Skyrim and FO3 had at launch and they had prior games to build off of. Impressive stuff.

Really?

I found it mostly dull and uninspired. It doesn't feel like a realistic lived in world at all in my opinion. It feels like it was aimed more at children than adults to be honest.
