can't believe that i ordered just after 7pm took that much time to resolve the problems with the website on the 16th and i've got Q2 too
Mine is over £200 cheaper at £349 and will arrive this December
The extras are nice, but nothing to write home about for me as plan on using it mainly on older titles that would not benefit from the faster storage anyways. I already have extra storage lying around that I can use so I am sorted
As you say I wish a younger version of me could have this. I probably won't use it a lot. But always wanted such a device. Perfect for older titles and indie games like Hades which I ended up buying and playing on the Switch a few months ago. Had I have known I would have waited and got it for my steam deck. I will get all the remastered final fantasy games and that alone there would keep me busy for a long time. Also will be good to see how all the old resident evil games I enjoy playing every few years looks on it.
I would honestly consider paying the extra 200 even if I was only getting the improved glass. The comparison between standard and etched on the LTT hands on video was hugeMine is over £200 cheaper at £349 and will arrive this December

Etched glass is a major plus for me. After struggling with my switch fighting the reflections it is a great thing to have. The anti glare protectors are all rubbish and ruin the clarity.
I shall simply not drop it
Why not? Not like we're gonna share files or anything. But yea main reason I bought it was for emulation.

Well your not just paying for extra glass (which to me is a big deal) but double ssd space. So all in all its a good value upgrade

Well... randomly (probably because it as 2am), decided to put a reservation in on a 256GB steam deck, even though I said I wouldn't like it lol. Q2 2022, but that will come around soon enough.

It's a gamble because if it doesn't turn out to be popular scalpers will be making a loss.
Given that only people with active steam accounts, that were active month before SD was even announced, were able to reserve it - I would assume lot less.
I think a lot will depend on how its received from now until launch the fact that you had to have an active steam account will hopefully mean less scalpers so you won't be seeing hundreds/thousands of ebay auctions and i hope more genuine buyers got in early but having a current steam account doesn't mean you can't also be a scalper.
By the looks of it supply will be constrained unless valve pull a rabbit from the hat and get production started early
