*** The Official Steam Deck Thread ***

Got my email this afternoon for the 512gb. it was a difficult decision but I decided to decline. Just dont think I'm going to make enough use out of it these days to justify the purchase, the inner tech geek desperately wants it, but I play less and less these days. I have decided to go down the remote/cloud gaming route over a Tablet when away rather than a dedicated mobile gaming device.
Someone else will most definitely make much better use out of it than I will.

Finally had my day 1, 22:15 256GB order come through. I'm in a similar boat with playing less and less but I'm hoping that the reduction in barriers with a more 'pick up and play' dedicated device like the Steam Deck might encourage me to get through some of the ~600 games in my library!

Which model you gone for ?
The middle one. My wife says to get it anyway, but I think I'm being excessive lol. (Or did you mean car or printer?) Car = Subaru Outback Wilderness in Geyser blue. Bought it for my wife. The printer, FLSUN V400 (direct drive delta).

our expected order availability:
After Q3 (October 2022 or later)
Pfft (even if I am thinking about cancelling LOL)

A fun gambit on this one. Linus spoke about it a while ago on the wan show after Nintendo took down the video they talk about. The whole plan is to try to goad nintendo into coming after them so they can try take it to court. I think the hope is to set precedent that big corporations can't get away with abusing DMCA claims to silence people saying stuff they don't like on youtube. TBH I don't think it will work, but certainly worth a try.

Fair play to him for trying. Mate at work is basically using their deck as a emulator (also aware OCUK has clear rules on emulation, so lets not get this thread locked please)
My order is on it's way, since everyone elses took a week to arrive I assume I'll get mine Monday!

Half life 2 still looks amazing imo

I like how the gyro aiming activates when your finger is resting on the stick. Helps massively with games like this that don't have native controller aim assist
