Well my copy has just arrived with my gamepad.

I can't seem to get the wireless gamepad to pair. Can anyone conform that when the gamepad is "paired" the green scan light turns to solid green on the controller?

Scratch that, popped the battery out and it has paired!!

ok got this game installed yesterday and been playing for a few hours, got a lovely bright red F430 Spyder at the min.

Anyway I'm impressed with graphics which I currently have set on 1280x1024 + 4AA. If I switch on HDR I cannot select any AA and the graphics aren't as nice. Is this because my graphics card doesn't support HDR?? MSI 7900 GTO 512mb

I'll get some screenshots up to compare with those that do have HDR enabled. I'm pretty impressed though.

Your card supports HDR just that Geforece 7 series cannot enable AA + HDR at the same time.
 
Me in my F430 Spyder that I picked up for $22,000 (already level 3'd) and a couple of random people at the far north-western point.

In-game nick is now [OcUK]MeddlE after a save game corruption. $5.5m in the bank, 2 houses, 8 cars, all gone.
 
Having bizarre random experiences of falling into black holes!

Was cruising with another biker on a long trip around the top half of the island, and a greenish area just appears ahead and I just fall into this black hole and all I see is the other dude's distance meter obviously increase.

Never happened in the beta tests, and seems to occur in the top parts of the map.

Really enjoy the cruising though, and the random people you pick on route.
 
finally made champion, realised i only need to buy 2 Ferrari's and 2 Lambos...1 bike and 2 Chevolets to get enough points. Im totally skint now but Champion. :rolleyes: :p

But I seen a $75,000 race to do 180mph so not too hard in an enzo :-) Want all those cars i bought tuned now. Wanna get 100% game completion though doing the multiplayer tasks is impossible never find a decent game :(
 
Just bought an SLR and tuned it to Level 3. 0-60 3.1 secs >800hbp! :D

I met up with two bokes at the lighthouse and we went for a spin. They both had level 3 tuned Lambos and Ferraris yet I was burning the hell out of them :)

Enjoyable game but it took a while to work out how to use the online features. I had no idea about the auxiliary control thing.
 
hmm got a new problem last night - vehicle sound will crack and gradually dissapear as you accelerate to 200km/h +, turning the vehicle volume down to half in the audio option solved the porblem but the sound still cracks. Sounds in TDU are very bassy and that seems to cause the cracks and audio dissaperance.

Does it only happen to X-Fi users??

Any idea when the first patch is coming out??

Yeah same problem and I have an X-fi too. I thought it was for effect, as in when you drive fast the sound becomes distorted, but the bass is ridiculous. I had to turn on the tone control on my amp for the first time ever and turn the bass right down, and even then it was still making coffee mugs fall of my desk :D
