The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

Using an Xbox360 pad here with the XBCD drivers. It vibrates when I steer left. But only when I steer left.....
Its annoying, and I can't seem to find how to turn it off :p

What is this hardcore mode? I've not seen it anywhere ingame.
 
I don't see the point of hardcore mode either. In a car with any power the grip is twice as worse as when driving aids are completely off. And if you use driving aids the understeer is stupidly exaggerated. If you hit a bump in the road you fly 50feet into the air. Steering is far too heavy, even with sensitivity on full, and breaks are nonexistent. The whole fun of playing tdu is driving fast around country roads as its an ARCADE GAME, not driving at 20mph round every corner so you don't spin the car 36 times and fly 550feet in the air.

Get a tuned corvette turn on hardcore mode and dont use any assists and start drifting! Hours of fun :D .

I hit champion night b4 last have to say im lookin forward to messin about in my viper doing the same lol :p
 
Oh dear.... After playing LFS demo for the last couple of days i've well and truly forgotten how to play TDU and i thought going from TDU --> LFS was hard!

I've heard Vipers are good Drifters aswell. At the other end of the spectrum , the Masarati Gransport is probably the best handling car Ive used in hardcore mode. It's got just the right amount of power so you dont keep spinning out and seems to have a lot more grip then most cars.
 
in hardcore mode the US cars seem to get their backend out more, found the loti tend to keep their back end in check, as well as the nobles

You get it when you get to champion level. Once you get to champion mode it will unlock and you can use it when you first log into the game. It will be below "Continue Game".

Cheers, it doesn't permanently alter the game save in any way does it?
