The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

Game runs and looks great for me at minimum 30fps, but the servers need sorting out badly. Trying to connect to people is TERRIBLE, and can take over an hour at busy times. Thankfully a lot of people have given up so servers are pretty empty at the moment so its easy to connect. The game is fantastic, all it needs is a tiny bit better optimization and server tweaks.

100% agreement with Psypher. all this "its cack, its slow, its buggy" talk.....just let them produce the patch....in fairness mine runs 100% and it turned out my drivers on my 7600 were the reason it was crashing.

have to say its one of the best racers i have played in a long time, and for £17.99 its incredible value for money :)

I quite agree with this. Quite simply a superb game imho IF you just do offline stuff. I've tried to connect to other players online and its one of the hardest things I've ever had to do...and it didn't work.

I hope the patch fixes some of the problems in the game. Then the full potential of the game should be achievable.

Does anyone know how to unlock the British specialists on the East coast of the island near the bottom? In cell H12 I think. I've driven all the roads in that cell and still its locked. Have I got to win some race to unlock it?

At the other British tuning shop ;)
Sherlock Holmes has nothing on you eh!

Either H-8 or H12 from memory...
It'll be H8 then. H12 is where this tuning shop is. Will have to get map out and check all the roads in H8 are covered. Isn't that how it works? Unlock something by travelling along all the roads in that map grid?

Soz mate - probably not the most helpful posts from me ever - just get me on xfire or something if you have any probs ok?

Ive had an Aston and tuned it so the shop is out there...

Unfortunately, we were not given an exact release date, but the patch is now at its final testing stages. The patch will be a zip file that contains the following:

-build notes
-the patch itself (approx. 20-30 MB)
-two new cars (Audi RS4 and Nissan Skyline R34)

When it is released, it will be available for download on the TDU community website.

Players will also be notified in-game when the patch becomes available.

This is all the information I have at this time. I know our community is becoming weary (and you folks have every right to be), but try to remain patient. It's almost done.
