yep my order came from gameseek ;)

just been playing it since 7pm, cracking game, seems more solid than the beta I played as well.

I get the occasional stutter/hitch , usually just before a new area is streamed in. I have defragged, stopped all background tasks etc, but this seems to be a known issue with the game and NVidia 8800 cards - hopefully it will be patched by nvidia or atari.

Im running as 1920x1200 0xAA HDR 16xAF and get a solid average 60fps.

4xAA brings it down (with HDR) to an average of approx 40fps.

This is such a nice game though, just spend all my time driving around taking in the sights :)
 
ok im still having problems with it disconnecting every 5 mins! :mad:

anybody else getting this? what could it be? all my other online games run fine :confused:

any ideas?
 
Seems to be a lot of confusion about what will and wont be available with regards to downloadable content, and whether or not that downloadable content will be charged for, free, or just not happen at all. Still seem to be a lot of the issues that were highlighted in the beta. Really, it needs a damned good patching. How soon that patch is released and how much it actually fixes will be a good indicator of the level of support the game's going to get from the developer.

I'll wait a while (and I have been seriously looking forward to the release of this game) and get it once these questions have been answered.

Im thinking of doing the same, but more the fact Im on holiday from the 21st and so wont be able to play it until Im back anyway - still seems to be a lot of mixed signals regards to if the issues picked up in the betas have actually been fixed properly. Not too worried about the X360 downloadable content since I assumed we wouldnt get it...

Had this for a few days now and I'm loving it, only problems I've had is the usual sound bug but managed to sort that pretty much just by adjusting the in game sound mixer.

Spent most of my time exploring island looking for delivery missions (1400 miles racked up already! :eek: )

Running it on PC in sig 1280x1024 4xAA with HDR and high detail, runs really smooth, only time I can make it a lil jumpy is if I start doing donuts.
 
Where is the link to buy the download?

Been on the atari site and the only thing I can find is an option to pre-order the dvd-rom. Even the email they sent me points to the buy the dvd-rom page.

received the email this morning but been playing with the MS Home Server beta,

Thought i would go get this on download now and then carry on with playing with the server, the email says download now, but points to the pre-order of the dvd.

Thought they would have sorted the download issues by now :(
 
I had low frame rates and fairly bad performance in the beta whatever display settings i put it on. Whould that have been to do with my graphics card or the Logitech Wingman formula force GP wheel i was using (the atari forum said something about force feedback being an issue here ) or just the game being buggy and slow?

Ive already preordered the game but i wouldnt mind cancelling that and downloading it. Will they put the download back up before friday?
