The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

Atari is pleased to announce that tonight at Midnight (Eastern Standard Time) we will be releasing a Digital Download version of Test Drive Unlimited for the PC on our US website Atari.com/us. The download link will be found on this page: http://www.atari.com/us/games/test_drive_unlimited/dvd_rom From there you will be able to get your copy of the game.

This is the final version of the game and comes with a full color PDF manual so you are not missing out on anything. The download is quick, easy, and requires a one time activation. After that point you won't even notice the difference between the download and retail versions, except that you won't need a CD of course!

Racers rev your engines because the game is coming out tonight and it's going to be a hot one!

THere's a linkage a couple of posts up.

Can someone confirm this actually works? A thread on the Atari forums suggests that people who have downloaded in this way can't get the game working. Anyone managed it?
 
My main concern is the lack of Australian servers seeing the game isnt released here untill April or something. Maybe there's just one big master server.... im still baffled how the online part works with people all over the world with very little lag.
 
if you can pay for it... you will be able to download it ;)

it works for me in UK, so it should work for USA.
by the way there is patch problems right now for it.

but since it takes awhile to download. hopefully they fix it before you finish downloading it.

i just got to wait :(
 
I was actually going to download this tonight but I am having second thoughts with all these problems, plus I have received a email saying my copy has been dispatched by RMSD.

So is it released??? Did you order in the UK?
 
I am loving this game, apart from the crap 30fps my x1900xtx manages everything is cool. Although I dont notice any slow down in the game running at max even though I am only getting 30fps.
