*** The Official Tribes: Ascend Thread! ***

Thanks, I'm really trying to improve my interception skills. We need to work on coordination. I think have the time I'm asking you what time and then asking everyone else what time but perhaps there is a better way?

:D just won a pub match with a llama grab :D

neat trick ive found, crossbow arc's, so if you get the right spot you can take out turrets at close range, by shooting over a hill :)

Not sure tbh. Maybe we could get some tips from some top teams streaming as you can hear there mumble.

Yea bolt launcher arcs. There is nothing wrong with llama grabs its just very important that you know when is the right time to do it and that you have the team to support you as you head back to your base.

Just started playing this... really fun :D

Any tips for a noob? My only experience so far is the training and about 45 mins of deathmatch :p

Try work on playing soldier. I think its a great class to learn the key skills of tribes. Air control. Skiing etc. Also try play ctf as much as you can. If you want help were on mumble most nights.

Check the OP dude. We will put up more videos soon.

Ah yeh.. would be a logical place to start! I'll have a read through it all.

Will do! Liking waht I see so far. Is there a healthy competitive scene?

It's not too bad, it's better than the current BF competitve scene but way smaller than say CS.

It still has lots of growing to do, new teams are popping up all the time (4 this week) from what i know.

I expect things to pick up even more quickly when we get features like:

- Clan tags
- Clan support
- Ranked matchmaking

etc.

Rumours clan tags coming next patch so that's a step in the right direction.

We have a nice little pug scene too, #tamixed, #tamixed.pro, #tamixed.fr and Mumble pickup games, multiple happening per day, some days we get 2/3 going at once.

For scrims when we have a stand-off should I go INF with sonic punch? SEN in stand-offs really isn't worth anything, they're actually pretty useless. SEN are great for stopping cappers, but anything else can just be done better by another class.

We do need someone who can inf but normally I guess you would stay back and defend the guys holding their flag by sniping incoming offence.

The problem is, like on Raindance, I couldn't defend anyone.

I could get the Pathfinders who were incoming, but as soon as they rolled out a Jugg or RDR, that was it, couldn't do a thing except try to gun them down with my Falcon, felt so useless.

God this game is fun.. loving it after 5 hours :D

Does it match you to people on pubs based on XP? Only curious because there seem to be quite a few tards in all ctf games I've been in.

yeah there is a noticeable change in hardness :x
not sure what to unlock next
raider-jammer pack
tech - thumper (mg is kinda suck)
doombringer - titan rocket
brute - heavy shied, survival
soldier - util pack

can probably do 3 items with my 82k xp, 600ish gold :)
