***The Official Wolfdale 8200/8400/8500 Overclocking Thread ***

For all we know the 65c being touted about is from a cpu in the open in a very cold room and so on, I was just expecting them to run cooler under load because of the shrink and supposed less heat.I may get an 8500 and find out myself if i can shift my 6420 4ghz + on air is just too tempting to resist.

Will my motherboard take one of these?

It's a Gigabyte P35-DS3P Rev 1.0 - a BIOS was released on 26/10/2007 to support Yorkfield but there's been no mention of one to support Wolfdale. Is it safe to assume that support for the former includes support for the latter?

What does that have to do with anything

You know fine well the P5B's are up to 450-500FSB so what point are you trying to make here?

That the P5B deluxe is one of the finest mobo's we have seen in the past 2yrs.

Took my 6400 4.3ghz and I hope the 8400 will see you the same results.

Why always look for malice?

Good luck mate.

4.2ghz is a nice 24/7 place to be.:)

Still waiting for Easy to explain himself. He's said himself the P5B is a superb motherboard and is more than capable of 450-500FSB

So other than trying to annoy me I'm not sure where he's going with this.

EDIT: Seen the reply, I don't look for malice but it's easy to tell from your post you're trying to incite it, I know you too well. I still can't understand the need for your post
