Thanks, but I've always shied away from attempting those mods just in case I bu***r it.

I was scared aswell but its really simple as pie. all you need is a pencil, and if or when you sell your board you just rub the pencil mark off with a rubber lol

its not hard you just run your pencil between 2 points, just 2 strokes and thats it your done ;)

before i did it i was at 3.6ghz @1.52v on my quad, drooped to 1.46v
after i didnt get any vdroop at all cpu z shows my real voltage now aswell as what i see in the bios i see in windows at idle and load.

also knocks your temps down and i mean way down at idle. :)

Got it running Orthos @4.203GHz for 20mins OK

Now have it at 4.275GHz (475 x 9) and things are starting to give out. Had to up the Vcore to 1.45v reads 1.392v when running Orthos; FSB voltage raised by +0.1v, memory voltage now +0.3v. The NB heatsink is quite warm to the touch.

For any more, think I need to do the Vdroop mod and my XTC ram may need replacing:(

How much volts can I safely;) put through this cpu?

SuperPI 1M in under 11secs!

I think I'm gonna need better equipment than I have to max. out this chip.

4.365GHz (485 x 9)

And Aquamark3 using 8800GTS 320 @ stock
